I'll agree with the first half of this statement. Tonight was the breaking point for me in terms of Kirk Hinrich. He played 21 minutes and posted 2 points (1-3), 1 rebound and committed 3 turnovers. Meanwhile, Hinrich was just getting eviscerated by Bradley Beal, who dropped 17 on 7-16 shooting. How do you win with that? The Bulls would be better off if Gar released him, if Thibs insists on playing him twenty plus minutes a game.

I don't understand why Thibodeu didn't play Mirotic at the 3. Butler was struggling with Paul Pierce's strength, who is almost a four at this point of his career. Niko would have been the perfect cover, and that would have allowed Butler to work his advantages against the smaller Beal. Since Mirotic had that breakout game against the Rockets, Thibs has drastically reduced his role, and forced him to switch positions again. Pau and Noah were struggling on the boards and on switches all night. They needed relief, and Mirotic takes pressure off of them. Playing Mirotic at the four tonight was dumb. Indeed, I wonder if the team was pouting a little bit?

I cannot even begin to articulate any reason why you'd start Hinrich tonight. None of this makes any sense.

What you had tonight was the 2014-2015 Chicago Bulls if Gasol wasn't such a surprise and Jimmy Butler wasn't an MVP candidate.

The two best players on the Bulls are supposed to be Rose and Noah. Rose was OK but poor on D and turned the ball over too much. At least he shot a respectable percentage. Noah is not what he was last season.

And Gasol wasn't able to get going against the physical play of the Wizards. Butler had an off shooting night and one has to wonder if he can keep up this breakneck pace all season. That guy takes some shots.

As for Hinrich, he's Mr Bull. The organization loves him and Thibs considers him a proud veteran that can hold a team together while not needing the take a lot of shots. That didn't happen last night. The minutes kid of show that, as Brooks played more than him and E'Twan had 13.5 minutes.

Still, terrible night for Hinrich. He's always been overrated, overpaid and overloved, but its starting to look ugly out there. If we're playing the blame game though, I tend to start with the guys making the mutlimillions. The two guys at the top of that list are Rose and Noah. They were not the two best guys on the court last night.

Tony Snell went 3-4 in extended minutes. He really should be getting Kirk's minutes and Moore (also 3-4) should be next in the depth chart. I haven't thought Kirk helps a team win since he was traded to Atlanta, and he's gotten older and slower and his game hasn't gotten better with age. Even if he was a net zero, Snell should be playing so he gets to work against the best competition he can, in game situations. He's got the physical skills. He can shoot and defend. Moore is still young and he's not been awful when played. We need to see if we want him next season and maybe beyond.

That block by Beal of Kirk's wide open layup is pretty much the exclamation point on it.

I agree Denny. Moore/Snell should be getting Kirk's minutes. Set him with a mysterious injury.

So the crunch time lineup would be Rose, Brooks, Magic Mike, (Niko/Gibson/Noah/Gasol)?

The whole Noah / Hinrich thing is tough to deal with since one is dubbed Mr Bull and the other really is Mr Bull (Noah).

Banishing Kirk.... wow.... what a way to go out for the good Captain.
