In his defense Thomas is usually pretty good at evaluating talent.

Chill bro, he wasn't being serious. He was joking and saying it sarcastically, because Isiah is an idiot.

I must say, I have never been high on Bargnani. I think he's way too soft. I think he is a good offensive player, and he will always succeed offensively, but defensively and on the boards is where I knock on him. He hasn't impressed me in those categories whatsoever, and he's very soft. He's really an oversized SF, but he's too big/slow to play SF. I don't know where he'll play in the future with Bosh at his position.

Isiah is a good drafter. TMac, Damon Stoudamire, and the three he picked in 2005. Balkman is turning out pretty well too. He just sucks at free agency and trades though. This is a dumb thread.

if any of you had a clue you would know that isiah is good at drafting guys. hell, the guy was your gm for crying out loud!!! he drafted t-mac and stoudemire who were on the raps. he also drafted frye, balkman, acquired nate and drafted the illest dude alive, david lee. people need to realize the guy knows talent but has no clue how to run a franchise. bargnani is the typical pussy from overseas. he can shoot the lights out but gets raped inside. he's a good shooter but that's really it. he's got good size but from what I saw in the game against the knicks he's afraid to go inside. you rap fans would know better than me but am I wrong? is he a pussy?

If you think he is good, I dont think you would want to fire him. That shows how much you know about Isiah Thomas and the NBA. You say one thing and say something else right after that. Second, Bargnani shoots like Peja, who doesn't drives it in less than Bargnani, why isnt Peja getting the same critiscm?

uhhhh I guess you didn't read what I wrote.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>need to realize the guy knows talent but has no clue how to run a franchise.</div>Yeah I want him fired because he can't run a team. he makes trades for veterans that can't play anymore and are overpaid. he signs overweight slobs that had one good playoff series to a $30 mil contract etc. he is a terrible gm BUT I'm praising him for knowing good talent. two differences so before you come to me like a hot shot, READ!!! and after you read, comprehend it then maybe you'll understand what I meant.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RaptorFan#1 @ Dec 4 2006, 06:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I think you forgot you started the "Fire Isiah" club. Bargnani was never an MVP candidate.

If he could recognize he should have drafted a player that would have played some of a part in turning your team around. If he could recognize talent, as a coach he would be able to help his players to develop, by "recognizing their talent" and building on that.

I think Bargnani has potential but he needs to change his style of game a little bit. With coaching, and a sh*t load of strength and conditioning, he could get alot better. He needs to become a better rebounder and a better scorer around the basket. He has a good outside game for a big man, but he will never be a Dirk Nowitzki type player. He isnt quick or coordinated enough. He also needs to work on his defense.

STS, was this really needed for a topic? This is just stupid..Im going to change the topic title..<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ballerman2112 @ Dec 4 2006, 11:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I think Bargnani has potential but he needs to change his style of game a little bit. And for those who say he will never be close to as good as Nowitzki, Nowitzki arguably played worse than how Bargnani's playing in his rookie season.Bargnani has been money for us lately. He didnt get PT, and started off the season slow, but hey, he's gotten over 10 points in each of the last 5 games..Still waiting for his 20 point game though..

I've always been a supporter of Bargnani's. I didn't think the Euro-bust label was appropriate or fair. I don't think he will be as good as Nowitzki is but he's going to be a very good scorer. He had 14pts 6/11 FT 2/5 3FG/ 3 rebs and 1 blk. You have to remember that he's getting a lot of points without getting many FT's...It's too early to judge him...but when he starts getting a good feel for the game he will be fun to watch.

Bargnani is really starting to pick it up now. At the end of the year, I could see his ppg average atleast up to 10-12..
