I think Neil may be in the right here - A first-rounder is too much: Plus-Minus rank: #411 WAR rank: #73 (position rank) ORPM rank: #40 (position rank) PER: 12.3 WS/48: 0.67 These numbers are truly ugly. His +/- is worse than Claver's! Jeff Green isn't too much better fwiw.
That's pretty interesting that crabbe wasn't even at the game. I really hope he's not traded but I would understand it.
While I love this quote from Dame, the bottom line is we're still a piece away. It also reminds me of The Glide (my favorite athlete of all-time, mind you) and how we reportedly nixed or was against a trade to bring in Barkley because we had such great chemistry and he didn't think Chuck would fit in. Well, we know how everything unfolded: We never won a ring over that early 90's run and Barkley was the MVP his first year in Phoenix. Now I can't prove this, but something tells me that we would have found a way to win at least one ring with a Big 3 of Drexler, Porter, and Barkley.
I agree. I think Neil understands the implications and will only make a move if he thinks the fit is right.
I'll just point out the obvious: Wilson Chandler is no Charles Barkley. The Blazers could use some more scoring from the bench, but it's not like adding Chandler guarantees that.
Sometimes playing in a bad team h But how much of those stats are due to him playing on a bad team? Wilson had his best year when he was coming off the bench for Denver in 12-13, and that team won 57 games. He shot 41% from 3 and 48% from 2, and he was their most productive player offensively per minute.
No what I am assuming is they are asking him to shoot on purpose as the main scoring threat of the bench which we would ask of him as well here. Essentially the same role. The problem is not his shooting. It is his making.
It could be that Denver is just a bad fit for him but he's not a guy that moves the needle in my view. Maybe the scouts know something we don't. His body language on the court screams, loser to me but that could be his situation
Makes one wonder if we haven't just been showcasing Crabbe all season to get trade value. Crabbe has an NBA game and teams lacking 3pt shooters may take a chance on him
I feel pretty confident saying that if the POR thought the price was right currently then he would be here by Monday.
