That is why they have a high attendance rate. It would be higher but our average per capita I dont think is very high. At least I dont think that it is....And BCB, the league would never take away teams. Too much money involved. Also, I like the fact that there are alot of teams. That way young stars that go high in the draft can quickly become the face of their franchise...

But they dont have a consistent population. While you are correct in saying that alot of people are going their for entertainment, the groups would vary. In one month, attendance could be terrible, and in another month it could be sold out every night. It really depends on whos visiting...It just wouldnt be a good idea in my opinion.
I guess you could almost guarantee a few brawls in a season with all the drunks that would be in the stands..

Like its the "thing" to watch the NBA team when coming to vegas. When it gets that popular, the NBA gets some popular exposure. Plus you would get some international visits.

Also, people that go to Vegas would want to gamble and I could honeslty see alot of poeple gambling on the game which would become a problem. It would be a project but I dont know if the NBA would feel like risking that much money in a city like Las Vegas.

I would love a Las Vegas basketball team. It wouldnt be favourable for the players though, they would have a hard time finding their way around the city, espcially Euro ones. Its a thought, if it works out, more cities like or similar to Vegas would emerge. It should be tested to see how many people are actually interested in the NBA.

NBA players go to Las Vegas and gamble when they aren't playing...it's not as big of a deal as people make it. Las Vegas is a booming city and the NBA should move a team there sometime.
quality over quantity, increasing the number of teams will not expand the nba market which is what this would be all about to begin with . What they should be doing if & when it comes to that point is looking at relocation. See the situation involving the Kings & Sonics.

Stern has publicly mentioned numerous times that the only way he would approve of having an NBA franchise in Las Vegas is if all the casinos theres stopped betting on NBA games. We all know that probably will never happen (although I believe the Maloof brothers have stopped allowing people to bet on the NBA in their casinos). I also believe nobody will be allowed to bet on the All-Star Game this year, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I'm sure they will anyway. But I think any game in vegas is bad.Basically, everything has gone wrong this NBA season. Let's throw this season out. Unless the Suns win it all, that is.
I don't think that another expansion is needed, but I think that if they are to have another one Pittsburgh, San Diego, and St. Louis should all be the top three candidates. All of them have good fan bases for their NFL teams and their MLB teams with the exception of the horrid Pirates in Pittsburgh.
