The Western conference sucks compared to the East now

    If look at the records it's not close. Funny when morons still call it the leastern conference. The East is much stronger now.

    I am not sure about that. The Kings and Hawks have won 4 of the last 5 cups. The Ducks, Hawks and Preds have the most points in the NHL and are all Western teams.

    My opinion is the West is top heavy. Even though the Kings have struggled so far, they still have to be respected as defending champs. The Hawks for my money are the best team in the NHL. And the Preds, with Rinne in goal, are very good. And the Ducks are very good as well. After that I don't love the West. The Blues and Sharks have good records, but I don't love those teams.

    In the East I think there is more depth of teams. The best 2 or 3 teams might be West, rankings up for debate of course, but the East is very deep with quality teams. The Met has 4 very good teams. The Atlantic has 4 very good teams. I don't think that can be said for the West divisions.
