I think this will be one of the more interesting trade deadlines because I think there will be many players dumped for cap reasons. Many teams in the West that figure they can contend because the West is now weaker than the East. I think the top 5 East teams will badly overpay for players trying to strengthen their roster. I really hope Sather doesn't give away picks. Our system needs to be stocked up a little. I would rather he move players like Hagelin, J. Moore, Stempniak, Allen, McIlrath, Lindberg for players that bring something different to the team that we lack. It's hard not to like Zucc but it's pretty tough watching the top 6 forwards on this team with 2 guys that are 5'7.
They'll be 5-6 guys at least who can help at the deadline in the 2-4m range, its just a matter of him not being inactive and lazy. Glencross, Stewart, Cole, Boedker etc.
Sather HAS to make moves. I just cannot see him pulling a 2012 on us and doing nothing. I refuse to believe he would do that. He knows what we need, and I am 100% confident he will make moves to try and obtain those pieces. And at the very least he will do something and add someone.
