You forget. Either one of those teams getting McDavid or Eichel is going to suck. Especially if the Flyers have Giroux and McDavid or Eichel down the middle. So, I hope both start winning.
Good thing neither one will get him. The Flyers have 41 points. The Devs have 40 points. The Oliers have 29. The Sabres have 31. The Canes have 33. Zona has 36. I just don't see the Flyers or Devs being worse than 3 of those 4 teams. Not with the vets they have. Not with the push to pretend they are good and continuing to win some games. Now if either do a 180 and try to lose games by benching vets or dealing away vets, different story, but as is right now neither is worse than the Oilers and Sabres for sure, and the Canes as well IMO. Zona is a little better than those 3, but not much, and has a points cushion over the Devs and Flyers at the moment as well. On top of that Minny and Ottawa are right there with the Flyers and Devs as well. And even the BJ's are in that mix as they continue to have a crushing injury season (it would be worse if they ended up top 2 IMO). I just don't see anyway the Devs or Flyers end up top 2 worst teams this season. And let's remember the lottery for the 2015 draft is only the # 1 spot. It isn't until the 2016 draft that the first 3 spots are determined by the lottery. So if you finish with the 4th or 5th worst records, which is where I think the Devs and/or Flyers end up, either you win # 1 or you stay outside the top 2. And 4th/5th have less than a 10% chance of winning the lottery. If this was 2016 I would say these teams would have a better shot because then they could move up to # 2 as well even if they didn't have a bottom 2 record. Now it is 1 or bust. and while they would have a shot, the odds are not great they move up to # 1 unless they really try and be the worst.

McDavid will go to Phoenix with all the ownership issues. Book it. It's just like Cindy back in the day
They may not be as bad as NJ but their D corps and farm system are awful. Not a playoff team for the foreseeable future unless they do well in FA.
