last 6 games all 20+ points on great % rebounds are solid. Curry is really starting to show his promise. I would never have even know except I picked him up off a waiver in my fantasy league.
This guy had a great year 2 years ago. I dont know why everybody had been dogging him. He is living up to his potential and is showing great promise for the future. He is a good rebounder and finishes under the basket. Notice how he has a good year, Larry Brown becomes the coach and he has a bad year, and now he has a good year again. Man I hate Larry Brown...

I think the reason he has been playing great lately is because he's now in shape. he looks great and I think that we got a solid core of young guys to look forward to in the upcoming years. first, lee who's just the man, nate, frye and curry. I like that future because now we have curry playing the way we expected him to play all along. that's something to look forward to as a knick fan, HOPE.
Curry's a terrible rebounder, prolly 8 or 9 of those 15 were just because the Grizz ran back not even trying to get the board or on free throw misses, his offense game is much improved, but to say he's an excellent rebounder because his #'s have been over 10 the last few games is a big misconception. He doesn't even really try on the boards, he doesn't box out well and usually just gets lucky that the ball falls to him. However, on a good note the play from him has been solid of late and he's starting to hit some free throws

do me a favor and rewatch that game v.s. the Grizz, they show it all the time on MSG....and tell me how many of those that Curry actually went for, he went for more than he pulled down but a lot of those did just happen to fall for him while the rest of team was on the fast break and he slowly comes at jogging/walking pace up the court the team passes the ball around till he gets set than he does one of his mini jump hooks20+is dominant? do u know how many guys are avg over 20 a game(21)? I'll tell u one who isnt thatd be Eddy Curry(16.6), all those guys scoring over 20 by no means are dominant(Kevin Martin?) and this is jsut in the last few games, Kevin Martin since he is putting up over 20 ON THE SEASON must mean he's a dominant force in sac townBTW before last year Steve Francis career average was 7 boards a game AS A POINT GUARD
he is dominating inside the paint in the last 7 games is what I really meant, I should've emphasized that more. I know what you're saying about the rebouds but to say that he got them by luck is stupid. steve francis is one of the best rebounding guards in basketball. don't think that I'm defending curry as a good rebounder because I'm not. he should be getting at least 9 or 10 a game at his size. I'm just telling you that you're wrong in saying that he didn't make an effort for those boards. 15 rebounds is 15 rebounds.
agreed, he played well I just dont wanna get too hyped up on him b/c of 4 or 5 good games....David Lee now thats a rebounder, Frye/Curry are not at all what I consider good reboundersmy biggest thing is just dont get too excited, someone already has said I cant believe I wanted to trade this guy...if he returns to old than I wouldnt be surprised/disappointed b/c thats what I expect of Curry now, same w/ Channing Frye. I have thought the whole time he is so overated its rediculuos, I cant believe Isiah wouldnt trade him for KG, I woulda done that in a heartbeatanyway I just really dont wanna get too excited on these guys until they show it for an entire season or 2
Curry has been excellent as of late, and he's really returning to 2004 form where he was a beast for the Bulls. He still has his defensive defficiencies, but he has been more aggressive on the block and he has seemed to improve his rebounding a bit. He lost some weight this past summer as well, he's looking alright (physique wise). He still could drop a few more pounds, but he is improved from last years' Happy Meal look. This is something that the Knicks have been missing ever since Ewing left, a real low post scoring option. I'm glad the Knicks are actually starting to go to him, whereas last year they tended to shy away from him when he had position on the block. Let's hope this lasts, and let's hope Curry will continue to build on this. Also, didn't he have a 25/15 game the other night?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>David Lee now thats a rebounder, Frye/Curry are not at all what I consider good rebounders</div>agreed, he leads the team in rebounding and averages only 26 minutes a game. also he's the man.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>my biggest thing is just dont get too excited, someone already has said I cant believe I wanted to trade this guy</div>Yeah that was me haha. I said that because he seemed to have dissappeared on offense but I realized it was because he wasn't getting the ball. now that curry is getting the ball on the block and the fact that he looks like he's in the best shape of his career, is why he is playing this well so far. I don't wanna get too excited either but as a knicks fan these there isn't much to get excited about.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Also, didn't he have a 25/15 game the other night?</div>indeed he did

For an NBA center he's a below average rebounder.

chalk up game # 9 for curry with this career performance at a game I attended :shifty2: 36 points, 9 boards, 3 blocks and 2 steals. I know it's only 9 games but he is living up to expectations. if he can keep this up I think he's got a shot at making the all-star team.
