I'm not a betting man but if you are, you can bet on the Spurs in 6 over the Hawks. The other teams aren't even in these teams' league. Spurs would have better record than Warriors if they had been playing all their players. We shot the ball really well tonight and got destroyed. I don't think anyone can beat them.

I think the Spurs bench is another reason to feel like it's time for us to make a move.

But bench scoring wasn't really our problem tonight and we'll be even better when Kaman comes off the bench again. Defense is the problem. But defense is the problem for every team that plays the Spurs. Getting Chandler will make a difference against the Clippers or the Warriors but he won't solve anything against San Antonio.

Well, let me take part of that back. If Chandler starts instead of Batum, we definitely play better tonight.

If that's how you feel then i have no problems with a 3 for 1 that gets a scorer and allows us to sign Prince and O'Neal. Veterans, offense and defense all in one.

We also had 16 t/o, didn't defend very well - Spurs had 34 assists, and we got murdered on the boards. This may be the best game SA has played all year. I'm not sure they can sustain it though. TP has been in and out of the line-up all year. TD & Ginobli have logged a lot more minutes than they wanted them to thus far & they haven't even played their 9-game Rodeo Road Trip yet. They played really well tonight, but it's one game. Their margin for error seemed a lot greater last year.

The Spurs are having an unimpressive season, are on the brink of completely missing the playoffs, and have no starters with the fortitude and resilience to play a full schedule let alone survive the pounding of a playoff run.

We, on the other hand, are consistently rolling over team after team despite our 2 most used centers currently being unavailable.

We have the 3rd best record in the league, the Spurs are clinging to 11th place.

Only a personnel change could fuck up our season now.

Blazers Bulls final...book it! I'd rather have a couple of two game losing streaks in January than March. We'll see how good the old guys are in the spring. Stotts hasn't had to adjust from many losses early this season. Now he has his work cut out for him.

I know I've read something like this before in previous years. Seriously, playoff ball is much different than regular season ball.

A lot can happen in three to four months to change your thinking.

Highly probable. I think what we've learned in the last 2 games is that Blazer D has improved but they don't play with the same scrap and hustle as a motivated SA for example. If the Blazers find that energy and effort, they could come out of the west.

We are missing our best defensive player who is also a very high energy player. Not a great stretch to judge us on.
Would be great if every starter hustled as much as Barton / Robinson do while playing.

I'm expecting us to play Memphis in the West Finals, facing Toronto or Cleveland in the Finals.

You can probably get some pretty good action on SAS/ATL. :dunno:

If Rose can get healthy and stay healthy for the playoffs then I like the Bulls in the East. Otherwise I see wizards/Cavs in the finals.

Why do you think those teams are better than the 33-8 Hawks? They nearly knocked off Pacers in playoffs as an 8 seed. Now they have Horford back and they are beating everyone, East & West, Home and on the Road. Hawks are better than all three of those teams.

I don't think they have anyone who can break scouting in a 7 game series, or a go to guy if you will.

That pacers team was over rated as hell because of how they managed to play the heat over the course of only one year. They will probably get to the second round and win depending on the matchup, but I don't think they can do 7 games VS Chicago. You got to remember that the playoffs are a different animal. Who cares if they are 33-8 or 8-33, when the playoffs come around everybody is 0-0. If you want to hang hour hat on the regular season then you are going to sound as ridiculous as those rockets fans who 'knew' they had the series before it started because they went 3-1 during the season.

I hear what you are saying, good regular season doesn't guarantee playoff success but have you watched them play? They're really good. People have had enough time to scout Teague who is playing like an All Star. Horford has been to the 2nd round a couple times and Millsap has been to the WCF. Plus, their coach worked for Pop in SA and has rings, obviously. He's probably the leading candidate for coach of the year.

Also, we had the same record as the Rockets when we beat them. The Hawks are running away with the East. No one is close to them.
