I know it's bound to happen, I just hate talking about it. Like I said, I can't imagine a Celtics team without him.

The celtics have alot of young talent, but they arent going to get anywhere with the coaching that they have right now. They dont really have an offensive presence downlow (im not counting gomes) and they dont have any experience. They are also the worst team in the NBA in closing out games and their defense is terrible. Especially at the end of possessions....The Sixers arent really doing anything to improve. They have a selfish PF in Webber, an inconsistent center, and Iguadola who is good but really isnt a great second option. Once Iggy gains more confidence he will be alot better of a player. Both Paul and AI know that the teams they are playing on arent going to win them a championship, so I think its about time to request a trade.</div> Why is it that everyone wants these stars to leave teams because they are mediocre? Look around the league, most teams are around .500 and not doing that well...it's because the talent levels are so spread out and because of the salary cap elite players can't form a dominant team...The Celtics and 76ers won't trade Pierce or Iverson to anyone in the division...and the team that trades for either will have to give up a big chunk of talent...I don't see the situation changing....Most players realize this.

Most fans just want their favorite players to win a championship. I mean look at this topic, your basically putting out two players to be traded to winning team. Chances of them landing on the same team, slim to none, meaning one of them is cancelling out the other for a ring. Essentially putting the other player at odds once again and probably those fans asking for another trade. Until he wins one, then they find another player to ride on. It's ridiculous.

With their current teams, they are going to have no chance of achieving that. There are certain teams in the league that have alot of young talent that would trade for a guy like KG or AI to make their team a top championship contender. And if you havent noticed, the Celtics are 5-12 and the Sixers arent doing much better. Both of these teams are near the bottom of the entire league and wont make the playoffs in a sorry conference if they dont turn on things quick. And why would the Sixers or Celtics have to trade to somebody in their division? Their are five other divisions in the NBA....And like I was saying earlier, alot of teams wouldnt mind trading alot of potential or talented players to get another franchise player on their team.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Because I would want to see somebody like AI or Pierce have a shot at winning a championship.</div> Add KG as well and don't you think it's outlandish for all these guys to get moved? I mean I get you want them to have a chance but come on, not everyone is in this league is going to have those chances. You just got to realize that. Moving these guys doesn't guarantee anything and like I said, in a few years, the same things will be said if they don't win one(which will happen because unless all those guys are placed onto the same team, their really just in each other's way to attaining a ring).
