yeah, I don't think you can bump Kaman up. We've already semi-established that 24mpg or so is about his max. So someone else is playing the other 24mpg (and the 12 or so that LMA's sitting, so 36 from some combo of Claver/Leonard/Robinson/Wright (as a stretch 4).

We don't need Kaman's scoring as the 4th/5th option in the starting lineup. His D is not vastly superior to the others, which might maybe warrant "wasting" some of his 24mpg with the starters, but since it doesn't, there's no need to waste him. Keep him in his role of main big off the bench (and 2nd unit designated gunner), and hope that some patched-together Leonar_/Claver/Robinson combo can do well enough on D to keep us close.

I thought Meyers had an injured shoulder? Or was that just an excuse to get Victor on the active list?

I hope to see a BIG game from Kaman tonight. He always seems exceptionally motivated against the teams that have given up on him. Three of his best games of this season have come against NOP (15/10 on 7-10 FG and 16/6 on 8-10 FG) and DAL (12/5 on 6-6 on FG). Throw in the game against the Clippers (8/7 on 4-5 FG) and Kaman is averaging: 12.75 ppg and 7 rpg on .806 FG%. in 20 MPG.

I doubt if he starts, but given no Rolo and no Freeland, he may get a few extra minutes tonight. The Lakers completely squandered his talent last season (the vast majority of the games he didn't play in were DNP-CD thanks to D'Antonio's ineptitude). Well, D'Antoni is rightfully gone, but something tells me Kaman is going to be highly motivated against the most recent team to give up on him.

There was a report on Oregonlive last week where Freeland said it was going to take a bit longer than the original estimate. It's getting better, but the shoulder still doesn't have a full range of motion. He wasn't sure how much longer, said it was more of a day by day thing now.

It would be a emotional and motivation boost to get them both back on the same game but whenever they are truly ready so there are no set backs

This season went from optimism to the highest, to such cautious optimism in about 4 weeks.

A bit of good news to look forward to:

The next couple weeks will be tough to get through, but there's a long ways to go after that. The guys that are healthy just have to try to salvage some wins in the meantime so we don't fall like a rock in the standings.

    Vs. Boston
    Vs. Washington
    @ Nets
    @ Cavs
    @ Hawks
    @ Bucks
    Vs. Jazz
    Vs. Suns
    @ Mavs
    @ Rockets
    Vs. Lakers

That's the schedule up to the break.

I see, with this group of people, and before Rolo gets back (I'd say the earliest is the mavs game), we may win 5 of them (Tonight, Washington, Nets, Bucks, Jazz)

So, a 5-3 record? I'd be okay with that.

Don't be silly! Only 3 ties... (5-3-3 is a perfectly cromulent record)

This is what I expect with or heavily deflated, and tired cast.

Scary how similar this year is to last year. Get off to a big start. Freeland gets hurt then we crawl into the all star game (Lillard, etc were all struggling last year at this time).

This lineup can still win the 5 home games. Brooklyn is definitely a game we should still win. Milwaukee is up and down, we could get that one too.
