I was watching this at the gym..I was excited when they were up by like 15 but they blew itgod damnit
haha I was the only one that didn't give up faith, and they almost pulled it out of their asses.gerald played AMAZING in the fourth quarter, hes gonna be a star very soon. and again, doc rivers being doc rivers and not realizing how to beat them until they're down like 15 with 3 minutes left.
pretty disgusting game. gave up a big lead, same old, same old. Nice little entertaining comeback, but of course it wasn't enough.Great game gerald. sorry to tell you that this won't make a difference on how little you play because a.) your coach is stupid and b.) wally is coming back soon.
I didnt get to watch much of the 4th(Memphis vs. Tennessee game is on), but a friend called and said yall came back, so we switched it over there for the last 2 minutes. My brother called Rudy Gay for the game winner, I was like noway, Mike Miller will shoot it. Well, he got it right and Gay got the roll. GREAT GAME GUYS!!!!
This game sucked, but the 4th quarter made me SO happy. That sequence where we had like 4-5 steals in a row was amazing, and I was screaming in enjoyment like an 8 year old boy seeing boobs for the first time. Gerald Green <u>21 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block on 7-10 shooting (3-5 from 3)</u> 16 points in the 4th quarter INCREDIBLE! I love Gerald Green. He finally threw down a dunk, he played great ball off the bench and was a HUGE scoring boost. He was great in the 4th. He played very good defense on Mike Miller. I absolutely love Gerald. Paul Pierce <u>25 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists... 9 turnovers</u> Paul played terrible. He did forced things, threw away way too many passes, and in the 3rd quarter he played like he didn't even care. Al Jefferson <u>9 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks on 2-5 shooting</u> Al played awesome, but we didn't get him the damn ball in the 2nd half. I blame Pierce for this mostly, he had him open too many times and he threw it away. Delonte West <u>12 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 block on 5-12 shooting</u> Delonte played solid ball tonight. He made some terrific passes and knocked down some shots. He had a couple great drives too. Ryan Gomes <u>12 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists on 6-8 shooting</u> Gomes really shot the ball well tonight, especially from his spot - 18 feet out. He didn't hustle on the boards, however, and I didn't like that. Brian Scalabrine <u>10 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist on 4-5 shooting (2-3 from 3)</u> LMAO am I dreaming? I couldn't believe it, Scal had those stats at halftime by the way. Too bad he fouled out in the 2nd half. Rajon Rondo <u>4 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals on 0-1 shooting. Only 1 turnover</u> Rondo played great ball tonight. He made some nice passes, pushed the ball, played EXCELLENT defense (especially in the 4th down the stretch), and he hounded the ball. I love Rondo. Doc, put him back into the regular rotation... PLEASE! He makes things happen. Tony Allen <u>2 rebounds, 1 assist on 0-3 shooting</u> I don't care what he did offensively, but he was put in the starting lineup to do one thing - play defense on Mike Miller. What did he do? He completely shut him down. Great defensive job by TA tonight. Sebastian Telfair <u>5 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 steals on 1-7 shooting</u> He had a bad game. He brought a lot of energy early on, but then he did practically nothing throughout the rest of the game. Leon Powe <u>2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block on 1-1 shooting in 8 minutes</u> Powe didn't play that much, but he saved some lose balls and brought energy. Screw the Stro Show! This is the Powe Show! It sucks we lost this game, actually it's terrible we lost to a team with no 1st option and the worst record in the league. Oh well, what can you do? All I can say is that I am incredibly happy about Gerald Green and Rajon Rondo. Lawrence Roberts for Memphis was HUGE off the bench tonight. Rudy... you are Gay! (lol) Next Game Friday (12/8/06) at home vs. Phoenix at 7:30 pm ET. Um... yay?
This time it wasn't Doc's fault guys. Doc said in the Postgame that the play was drawn for Gerald, who in the play was wide open but Bassy was stupid and threw up a lazer shot at the backboard.
Watching the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter of this game was the most exciting stretch of a game that I have seen all season. (maybe aside from Kobes 3rd quarter). The C's had Paul at the center, and they were full court pressing and making Memphis turn the ball over on every single possession. Rondo was making amazing plays, Gerald was shooting and playing amazing on both ends of the floor, and Delonte played pretty well tonight also. Paul isnt Paul yet...he isnt playing as well right now as he was earlier in the season. I think the elbow is still a factor.
I dont think GG played good D on Mike Miller, hes been in s slump and he knows it despite his 13 attempts. Hes taken on more of a PG role than SG now so hes been looking for more assists than points. He tooks alotve last second shots for the grizzlies resulting in a poor shooting game.

Gerald did play good defense on Miller. Sure he didn't get up in his grill and force 7 turnovers, but he stuck with him and bothered/contested every shot. He did a pretty good job. Tony Allen though, you can't argue - shut Miller down in the first half. Hey guys, speaking of Gerald Green, here is a nice quote I found in the Celtics.com game recap: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"A lot of people are saying that I played a pretty decent game, but I don't feel like I did," Green said. "I feel like it wasn't good enough because we lost. I have to have that mind frame. At the end of the day, we gotta win the game."</div> That's a great mindset to have, especially at Gerald's age. That's another thing I really like about Gerald: he "gets it." He knows he has to play defense to stay on the floor, he knows nothing matters if we lost, etc. I love that about him. But Gerald, bro, we lost this game and it wasn't your fault. Believe me when I say that lol. Gerald was fantastic last night, and in fact - if it wasn't for him we would have lost by more than 2 points. That's for damn sure.
