    Most teams are either up against the cap or have to sign quality young players that will put them up against the cap or over it.

    I really don't understand Sather continuing to give no trade clauses. Giving Boyle a two year contract for 4.5 million was dumb enough. Giving him a no trade cause could cause us to loose a young forward. He has to stop with those dumbass no trade clauses.

    The Girardi one was just ridiculous. We're really going to be paying for it in a few years. At least Boyle is someone who will be useful through next year.

    LOL..but you don't hate Girardi. You only take shots at him every chance you get. Funny.

    The problem is that you can't get guys to sign here at a discount without the NTC. For example, if you believe the reports, Dan Boyle left almost a million on the table to be a Ranger. He's not going to do that if he could end up getting traded.

    Exactly Prod. And look around the league, that is the trend now. Happens all over. But we have to find something to complain and nit-pick about, so this topic is as good as any I guess.

    Yea I'm thinking that they will pull of a trade with a team we would least expect.. But right, not too many options out there. The guys that come to mind are;
    Santorelli, Winnik, Booth, Vermette, Moss, Stafford, Stewart, Upshall

    Rather pay more and leave out the no trade clause. Otherwise, you can't work the cap. You have to be able to deal more expensive guys. Said it all along. Dolan should make a policy. No player gets no trade clauses for either Knicks or Rangers.

    Sather waiting??? The longer he waits the less our chances are of getting the players we need. We can't afford to wait as the more teams to go shopping the more the price will go up. Hope Sather has something in mind or we will be like last year.

    If Winnik is that valuable as a 4th liner then Mcilrath and a 2nd isn't out of the ?. Mcilrath has little future here and is a crapshoot at best of making it anywhere. The Leafs might even get a better prospect.
