I clearly stated where I had my cutoff point. So, there was 8 games. If I say we win 5, that would mean we lose 3.

I'd give anything for cautious optimism right now.

This was written before the LMA news.

It just got downgraded to "Oh crap" level.

OK, that makes sense. I'm at about Defcon 2.

So, nearly 4 weeks into a 2 week recovery and rehab he can shoot the ball for 20 minutes, but his return isn't imminent. Sounds like the Blazers medical staff have about the same accuracy as the weather service.

Initial diagnosis was shoulder strain, out at least 2 weeks.

Subsequent MRI revealed a partial tear to the rotator cuff. He needs to let it heal before he can resume contact. Otherwise, he could tear it further, need surgery and be out for the season. Sounds like another MRI is planned for Monday to see how it's healing.

I don't see them risking anything this close to the allstar break. Also gives TRob and Meyers some serious minutes with the starters

No worries, man. It just mean he's going to come back and start dominating like Greg Oden!

Thanks for the update, BNM. I missed that report.

Actually, I think the Blazers medical staff do a good job. I just thought the discrepancy in the length of time between the initial report and what the reality is seemed a little odd. What you said makes perfect sense.
