<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rod Thorn and the Nets have made inquiries about Chris Wilcox and Anderson Varejao. The Nets are disappointed with their start and are looking to make a change, but haven't found a deal they like just yet."It is frustrating, because we had a pretty advantageous schedule up to this point," Thorn said. "And we haven't taken advantage of it. The games are spaced out pretty good now; there's no alibi for not being ready. Because we essentially play every other day. It can't be the schedule now. So it's time to start playing."</div>This would be a great move for Nets fans, Their interior defense isn't very good at the moment. Anderson Varejao is a great hustle player to have on your team, He's a spark plug. Chris Wilcox is a freak athlete and solid rebounder, He would give the Nets toughness down which they currently don't have.

I think they should put Antoine Walker up for offer, b/c teams will bite for athletic swingmen. Cleveland wouldn't, but Seattle might, especially if Rashard is leaving.

Don't mean to get nit picky, but I dont think the Nets have the rights to trade Antoine Walker, I'm sure you mean Antoine Wright. I agree though, he could be a good barganing chip, he has potential to be a good player on the wing for someone given more minutes and a bigger role on the wing. He is really looking good defensively, offensively not so much. The only thing is, they might want to keep him, incase Carter bolts this offseason.

I think that Varejo would be a great fit in New Jersey. Even though they are getting a great amount of production for J Kidd in the rebounding department, they are still lacking a real inside presence for defense and rebounding purposes. I think that Nenad is a good big man but he is a softer mid range big man....Varejo is a great defender, hustler, and rebounder and I think that is what they are missing. They just need to get Collins out of the starting lineup...

Varejao is key off the bench for the Cavs, he really helps alot of D, and is good garbage scorer. I think the Cavaliers would be stupid to do this else. The only way I see this deal going down is if they trade Jefferson, which I dont think NJ is ready to make that trade. Wilcox and Varejao together are much more than the Nets can put together without giving up some real valuable players.

Wilcox would be perfect for the nets but I don't know what they can give up to get him off the sonics.

The Sonics and the Nets are almost in the same poistion depth wise: In the paint presence. Wilcox will bring energy and will get lobs from Kidd and his game and stats should increase. But who are they going to give up? Wilcox is the best big man on the Sonics and would be hard dealing for him.Anderson Varejao is a player who hustles, rebounds and plays defense and thats what the Nets need. Nenad taking care of the paint in one end and AV doing the same on the other end.

The thing is: the Nets will trade Jason Collins and a first round pick for Wilcox. Still, the Sonics wouldn't be very smart if they did that. But it would be hard to get AV. Melvin Ely is out of the picture, so I've read the other day, so I'm setting my hopes on Brendan Haywood.

Wilcox has all the talent in the world but if his situation is bad he gives u 10 percent. I personally dont like him. From my experiences, I think hes lazy and a horrible free throw shooter. Maybe if he gets playng time he'll try but if he doesn't than hes just a bum.Varejao, I like, hard worker, may not be so talented but works well with what hes been given.

I can imagine you saying that, because he didn't have a good run with the Clippers. But what he's been showing since he's playing for he Sonics, it shows what he actually can do. NJ would be an even better fit for him.
