Aside from a somewhat decent game last night against the Grizzlies where we came back and almost pulled out a win against one of the worst teams in basketball, this team is an absolute mess. The Celts have now lost 4 in a row and 6 out of their last 7, every center (Kandi man, Theo, and Perk) are all injured right now and Brian Scalabrine had to play 22 minutes last night for us and probably will for the next few weeks with our big man rotation in complete disarray. There are no consistencies with this team, everyone looks lost at some point during every game, and even Paul, our leader, looks lost out there. He had 9 turnovers last night, that's the third time this season he's put up more than 6 turnovers. I want to know what you guys think the first change to this team will be. Something needs to be done, I don't know how Danny can just sit there and watch this team and not do anything. This is the 2nd season now in a row where a move needs to be made and if he doesn't make it eventually Celtics Nation is going to be calling for his head. What will the change be guys? A trade? Firing Doc ( :worthy: ), what do you guys think??

Haha. I don't know man, I really just don't know what to say. I hate trade ideas and discussing them because none ever happen. Just look at my avatar, I don't want Doc here, but I don't think we should continue to talk about coaching replacements because honestly I don't see Ainge firing Doc anyhow.

Firing Doc is the first step, but its not the only step that should be taken.

.... and would you care to elaborate on that? Trade (if so, who?)? Lineup shake-ups (if so, who?)? Danny?

I dont know much about the Celts situation, but from what I do know, heres my take. First off fire Doc and Ainge, start over, you still can with a young team. If Doc and Ainge aren't getting it done then a change is needed. Say the coach gets fired, well, then get a coach, maybe Rick Adelman or somebody, and let the team go offensively. These young players should do well with more freedom (everyone can) and maybe the team can start building.

yeah, I think the first move needs to be firing doc, but that probably won't happen. I can honestly see a guy like Delonte getting the shaft to be traded for a better big man.

So many missing pieces, so many flaws to fix I don't think its all possible. Obviously they need a dominant vet big man, a new coach, depth, etc. There are many directions they could go in and its hard to tell their next move, but whatever, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :dunno:

I'm with you guys, I don't even know what they should do but sooner or later their going to have to do something. What really pisses me off is Danny is still out all the time scouting prospects....it's like hey danny, your team is an absolute mess right now and you we have enough young players on this damn team already. If anything he should be on the phone discussing possible trades or something other than drafting young players. Everyone always talks about how Danny is so good with the draft, what good is it if he can't bring in veterans to build and help develop these young players? He also could have done so much more with trading Antoine Walker.... TWICE It's pretty sad when nobody, not the GM, coach, fans, players knows what should be done with the team. SI said it best with their preview of the Celts. Their superstar can do it all-except lead them into the playoffs by himself
