Wrong. Rick you have this issue with money, what is it...envy? Seriously man let it go. Again there are millions of people in the US with net worth over $1M.....and they aren't doing stupid things. Its not the money that is bad, its the character of the person that is bad.

And you will notice Rick, again we are arguing over the wealth topic....consistency at its best. Anyway you want to have issues with young guys making a lot of money, have at it. But I will always challenge you and correct you until you embrace reality.

    Enjoy the game today.

Okay I see a pattern forming here, aside from your unhealthy need to be in the right ALL THE TIME, you're now starting to have a problem with comprehension. Dispite me saying "NOT EVERYONE" and that money AND stupidity all to often lead to over indulgence you continue to act like if someone doesn't agree with you you're going to take your ball & go home. Lighten up. believe it or not (and I know this might hurt) but there are actually people that do have opinions that differ from yours. And btw: I have NO problem with young people having money its just the ones (& I'll say it again) all to often it gets the better of them.

On that note, you enjoy the game also.

I think a better analogy of money in millions of dollars, won by Lottery Peeps, is a better open, obvious transparent issue, of historical value, for this argument.

I've sen numerous documentaries, of persons who won millions of dollars, from Lotteries. Tho' the show never reveals the true percentages of those who win, go on to create an even more lucrative profitable life, with dividends, increasing their wealth, from the jump start lottery monies, they won.

Many of these new found millionaires, who have no clue how to invest money, go on to live their fantasy lives, with homes in Bel-Air or Ft. Lauderdale, to South Miami. Throwing lavish expensive parties, amongst peers who earned their millions. In a non-middle class anymore, they can't seem to make the transition, without numerous failures. From Drugs Galore, Super Cars, homes, et al. I'd venture to guess and say the pctg of Lottery winners with MIls, go broke within 2 years, or kill themselves recklessly. I bet 30-50 Percent of Lottery winners go broke, more than those who maintain or create an even higher income from smart investments, and ideas. Or businesses, that can't fail easily.

...several years ago a friend of mine, well, he was actually more of an acquaintance than he was a friend, won a "small" lottery in the town I lived in at the time..something like $2 Mil after taxes. Even though he quit his job with the fire department, did he invest the money?...Nope. Greed got the better of him and he decided to take a shot a having even more money by trying to make a drug deal and managed to buy a few pounds of coke from an undercover agent. DOH !!!

...he got busted and went to jail and lost all his money.

That seems to be the norm for Lottery Winners. They loose all sight of reality, blinded by the almighty dollar.

I think more bad things happen to winners who first of all, quit their jobs. Unless the already have a lucrative trade, which can create more profit, yet that doesn't seem to be the majority of cases. I have seen some humble winners, keep their job, and live within reason, while making safe investments and decisions.

I see a common thread, with Lottery Winners, and Athletes, even Actors, who live the high life to long, to where they think the income will always be there. While not finishing College, go on the the big leagues, have a short or long career, with bad investments, or scams, ponzi scheme investors, and are bankrupt within a year or two of retirement.... There are more Athletes who have invested in bad scams. Watch American Greed, and often you hear the list of numerous NFL players, who have invested in Ponzi Schemes, and sham scams.

^^^yeah, and I'm "amused" by the lottery winners who, when an interviewer asks if they'll keep on working, they say "Oh no, I'll keep my job".

You do have a valid point there 59. The funniest thing, is when checked back latter upon, those "I'm Keeping My Job folks, wound up quitting anyway from a month or two latter. Hell they don't have time to work, as they're too busy finding ways to spend all that money.

I guess it becomes a full time job for Lottery Winners, to look at all the stuff they can now buy, then have repossessed.

Let's use a real life example from today's news. Johnny Football....I mean Johnny rehab. Did the money make him bad? Nope, he was a train wreck long before he got paid. If he never got a deal in the NFL would he still be a train wreck? You betcha.

It ain't the mony in the babpnk account, its to poor character in the heart, mind, body & soul. Rich or poor, ARod is still the same asshole.
This isn't about being right Rick, its about understanding root cause and using logic.

You should follow your own advice. Especially since your opinion on this topic seems to stand alone.

I'm not espousing opinion Rick.....you are. I'm talking about objective reality. Let's keep this from the flames and on topic.

And you didn't address the Johnny Manzel and Alex Rodriguez examples. Do you believe Alex was a good guy and the money and fame made him an asshat? Or do you believe he had a morally corrupt character all along and money and fame magnified his flaws? If you believe the latter than we are in agreement. If you believe the former than I have a bridge to sell you.
