Is anybody going to do anything a special deed this year? My dad and the rest of the police department are running a program where they buy Christmas presents for under privileged children. 3 kids that I know of so far have gotten a XBOX 360, I don't even have one lol.I do a few wrap nights and wrap 70-100 presents, I also help do some shopping. I am trying to do more around this time, I can't find anything to help out with. I admit, I don't do as much as I should. I would really like to help out more often.Anybody else doing something?
I just called in this morning to volunteer at St. Joe's Food Pantry over the holiday season...I will be volunteering there, and at my job at the police department and during the summer I volunteer at the local senior center.
Canned food drive is all haha.My friend and his dad have these two teenagers who are poor that they take out for there birthdays, xmas, and other holidays and get them a lot of stuff. They also have them over for weekends sometimes.
I'm not into doing community work, I only do some because it's obligated at my school...but it's not like I'm going to do it for fun. I can't even wrap anything
Man, Me and my dad are having some problems. My dad is the only officer doing anything to help, Nobody else cares. We ran out of donation money yesterday and we just went shopping tonight and spent 718 dollars which came out of his own pocket. That 718 dollars only covered 5 families. He has to use his own money unless some more donations magically appear. He still has 15 families to buy for, Some of the families have 4-5 kids each. It's getting crazy.

I help Tony do some shopping. I am busy with basketball so I don't have a lot of time but I help when I can.
Wow, Things worked out perfect. My dad got some more donations and he only has to use $106 of his own money. He is almost done already.
Thats good to hear man.Every chrismas, I do a couple of things to help. My mom is a teacher, so I help her with her Angel Tree gifts for the less fortunate. I have helped deliever gifts in San Antonio to poor familes, and I have also helped alot in the past to make and prepare food for people on Christmas. I dont do as much as I could but I help some...
Yeah, my family feeds the homeless all the time, year round. They have been doing it for probably 7 or 8 years now? I don't know. Anyway, for a long time now, my mom has been making sandwiches and such to take down to them. It's not so bad money-wise, because our church (I'm not Christian anymore, but still... yeah. My parents don't know.) has an allocation towards feeding the homeless and such. Usually there's also some leftovers from the church dinner each week that can be used towards said week. I guess the really hard part is just getting the sandwiches made, since it takes hours every week.
