Katie Strang, citing a source “familiar with the team’s thinking,” says that it is “unlikely” the Rangers will trade pending UFA Mats Zuccarello before the March 2nd trade deadline. (ESPN NY)

Zuccarello is on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million.

She also notes that the Rangers are not going to move Marty St. Louis, who has a full-no trade clause. (ESPN NY)

Zucc has 7 goals and 17 assists this season and is projected to score 12 goals and 30 assists, down from the 59 points he had last season.

Katie Strang doesn't know jack sh!t about anything going on with the Rangers. She's constantly wrong about everything.

Why would a bottom feeder want ufa mz? Unless you're giving them a solid prospect and pick with him he's useless to them if he's going elsewhere in FA. At least Hagelin is guaranteed to stay where dealt, though you don't shed as much salary.
