Barney Miller was a great show and Barney Fife had only one bullet. lol
Taxi....there was an episode when Latka (Andy Kaufman) suddenly became this suave well spoken - no accent- ladies' man...blowing everyone's minds.
    Weird....lol....funny, just like Kaufman.

    Loved M*A*S*H and Taxi.

Add Rockford Files and Magnum PI.
As a San Diego pseudo native I can't leave out Three's Company.
And for my pop...Barney Miller and Fish.

Hey guys, speaking of memory lane, have you been following River Avenue Blues this off season? Doing some nice Yankee history pieces of the Boss' era. Even have YouTube clips... Reggie's hip check allowing Munson to score...and Lasorda blowing a gasket. To Righetti, to Mattingly...

    Really some nice pieces.

All of these noted shows, were classics no doubt.

60s- I preferred Jerry Lewis Movie Marathons more than any thing else. Combat, Twelve O'Clock High, and Sea Hunt were my fav shows on TV.

70s, "just say no to disco" I enjoyed shows in b/t both decades like Rowan and Martin's laugh in. Or the Smothers Bros. Comedy Hour (Steve Martins first job as a writer was for the SBrothers. Of course by 75, I never missed one SNL, not until the 90s would I miss a SNL, yet often recorded what I'd miss.

80s, spent more time at work with little time for TV.

Always preferred Movies over TV shows tho'. Brando and J. Dean were the Don's of Movies, tho' some preferred J. Wayne, Brando was my hero. Those Epic Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns. On to everything De Niro or Pacino, moving forward....

Of course everything then and now still took/takes a back seat to MLB....did then dose now....and WTF did we do with all that free time and NO I-Net to eat up the hours??

^^^I was a huge Gilda Radner fan and always felt that even though she was very talented, she also was somewhat overshadowed by John and Danny and Chevy. I read an article awhile back about Gene Wilder and he said that even after all this time, he still grieves for her daily.

...speaking of Belushi, I always liked this skit and it's irony as time went by.

With the deepest of Love for another, albeit a Wife, Brother, et al. The closer one is to the person they lost, the more painful the loss becomes, as well as sudden or un-expected, as well as mis-diagnosis with Gilda's life, has also got to be so monumental a pain and torture to Gene.

I mean, how in the hell can modern medicine, mis-diagnose Gilda's condition time and time again. which Gilda had access to the top Doctor's in at least So. Cal, UCLA. they lived but 5-10 minutes from. Cedars Sinai too, tho' Cedars seems to be going to hell.

Those are the types of grief, like any good therapists will agree, just never go away. They scar hearts and minds for ever. Yet, Grief Recovery Counseling, is a hidden gem, found in a group of Grief Therapists, who wrote the most insightful book, I've read, called: "The Grief Recovery Handbook". I highly recommenced this book and only this book for one who Grieve's a long lost person, they loved as much as a dog licking its balls, likes the Sunshine....

There are more than 2 dozen things another person trying to console another should never say: Like-
1- You should be happy he's no longer in pain. Well no shit Sherlock, he's fucking dead, how would he be in pain?

2- I will fucking go ape shit if I hear these again,. You should be Happy He's with JayZuz, give me a fucking break, show me the path to Heaven. Mankinds own created conception? Maybe, maybe not....!

3= I know how you feel, really if you did you'd put a gun to your thin little mind and pull the trigger, giving us all relief. Besides others can only get a glimpse into what Grieving persons feel. It's like one cannot comprehend how painful beyond Spinal Surgery is, until they too have had one.....

4- Give it time and you will feel better. Really? 7 years of serious grief, and one day I"m going to have an epiphany, go fk yourself......

People are not taught of the Grief Recovery tools from the time we are kids. were given mythos of how to not process grief. We're not ever given the tools, to grief recovery not until we find them thru our diligent efforts....

Ok, I"m off my podium now, someone else take the stand please.....

Viva Eugene Wilder, and Gilda Radner.....!!! Roseanne Roseanna Danna.....

Indeed an eery video, in hind sight. I have not seen this skit, or forgot as much. It's Classic alright, special too....!!!

    Chee Boyga Chee Boyga, Belushi/Akroyd

Bill Murray's Lounge Singing Act.....and a hellluva lot more Murray.

Weekend Update by Chevy Chase, he created that 40 year old still running skit.

Christopher Walken, "The Continental" Cham-pain-ya.....(1 of few great multi-Guests)

Tom Hanks Olympic Ice Skating dressed like a Gay Cowboy......I literally could not get off the floor.

Meyers, Goodman, Akryoyd, Farley's De Bulls...

    Adam Sandlers, "more peppa' skit....

Martin Short's Ed Grimley, or a few others.

    Stuart Smiley by Al Franken.

    Billy Crystal, "you rook mahvelous"

Damned we could do this all day. An endless 40 amazing years of the best comedy on TV. IMO, Key and Peele, are todays best 1, 2 tandem.
