Get the couple of pieces this team needs. They have guys who are playoff tested and that will make a difference in the spring. You can't waste this teams solid years.

That is well said Mess. This team is very good and so close. Give them a little more forward depth and we are a clear SC fav with 2 or 3 other teams...we are that good.

I have said it a lot, but I cannot see Sather not adding what we need, I refuse to think he would sit and do nothing...cannot see it. He will get us a top 9 forward.

And I wouldn't deal Hags or Zucc. Add a top 9 don't subtract to add.

One of the second round picks would be appealing to teams. I would dump Nieves first if I was Sather. He's an undedicated, candyass as a prospect. Maybe some other organization feels they can turn him around. I would think lesser prospects available that teams would be interested in would be Haggerty, Hrivik, Lindberg, Allen, Hughes and Iverson. Not sure if the Rangers are ready to give up on McIlrath. AV likes Fast a lot. You can tell. He's not going anywhere.

Hayes starting to have some better game at faceoffs. He was 5-4 last night when the rest of the team got destroyed by Bergeron. I could see Sather focusing on Tlusty. I figure, he could send back Stempniak, maybe a prospect like Nieves and perhaps a Lindberg. That should be enough. Carolina wants to sign Tlusty but that doesn't matter if he doesn't want to stay there. That would be a perfect addition.

Callahan, 5 points in his last 1 3 games. Three at even strength. One goal at even strength. That is why you don't pay that greedy jackass that absurd money Tampa gave him. He's still just a third line role player. Only reason he has as many points as he does this season was because Stamkos carried the clown. He has 11 of his 35 points on the PP and he sucks on the PP. Basically, he has no creativity.

I was laughing reading a Bruins chat board. 90% of their moron fan base is still so freaking stupid that they can't understand how absurdly slow their team is and the league is about speed now.

That should be the focus. Dealing a 2nd rounder, one of those solid but not great prospects, and then clearing a little cap room by shipping Stemp or sending down Glass (never happen I know...:)) for a top 9 forward. Then watch us win the cup.

The only other option I see is if we can deal for a clear top 9 guy who is signed beyond this season, then I would think about including Miller, but I don't think that will happen due to cap uncertainty, so I think a rental is the answer. And a 2nd rounder and a solid prospect should get us a good top 9 rental.

Always nice to see the Rangers not being the ones overpaying a guy like that. On that Tampa team Callahan has 15 goals and Brian Boyle has 10. He had an 8 goal month of October with 4 of them coming against the Rangers.

Not worried at all with trade. If free agency, yes. Can't wait to see who slats rips off this time. Ha ha ha
