In full agreement, and if anyone thinks Goodell's friendship with Kraft didn't prevent that from happening, they need a reality check.
Hell I'd venture so far as to say Goodell and Kraft are more than room mates, they sleep in the same bed together, with Belidick in b/t them.....!!
...that's based on assumption...I'll reserve judgment until the evidence is made public and the NFL has actually made a decision. ...no reason to make a rash decision, especially one that could end up blowing up in the league's face.
...also, I still don't get the reactions to "the play"...they seem to be fueled by shear hate for the Pats.
IDK Ron, If it were just say 50% of the critics questioning his play calling at the end I might agree with you but the reactions are closer to 90-95% negative. From fans to sports casters to former players & coaches to sports writers. No way this is all based on hate of the Pats.
...I think most of it is based on Pat hate...even Belichick and others have now come out and said questioning that play call was out of line and that most of the people questioning it aren't really qualified to do so. (critics) ...these "critics" or "experts" were the same ones who wrote off both the Pats and the Seahawks earlier in the season...their opinions tend to change based on the prevailing winds from week to week. ...and even many of the initial knee jerk reactions have tempered a good bit since a week has gone by and as more people have had more time to fully digest the play. ...if it had been the Jets/Giants or Raiders playing in that game and they were the ones who had just won the SB by making that interception, would we be talking about Carrolls play call?....hell no, we'd be commenting on what a great play the DB made to intercept that ball and seal our SB victory...and rightfully so.
