Entertaining Underachiever. That is hard to label him as because of all he accomplished, but he could have been so much more. He could have been one of the biggest names in fight history, IMO. His style was popular with the average fight fan. Just talk shit and fight.
I honestly feel given his proclivities and his personal issues he accomplished a great deal and probably got a lot further than most would think possible. This is someone who really only enjoys a select few aspects of his profession and seemingly would rather be doing just about anything else. And yet he was a champion and made millions. I really appreciate him and have enjoyed watching him compete and to a lesser extent watching his antics. As the UFC moves into deeper corporate waters we're going to see their guys treated more like NFL players and they will behave more like Marshawn Lynch in turn. I mean I hope not but I can't think of anything harsh (or interesting) Demetrious Johnson or Cain Velasquez has said or done.
