...^^^saw robins in the yard yesterday...and some geese heading back north too...hopefully, it's a sign of an early Spring.
The desert weeds, sage brush, and mountain grass has been green and growing rapidly., This has no doubt been the mildest winter, I can ever recall for the Mojave. The San Gabriel's with snow on the tops, but Green at each mts., base??? The Poppies don't usually open here til about May-July. Yet, at this rate, we will see those golden like tulip/poppies bust out big time, then freeze to death with the winter we never have had. As much has happened before, but not with this thick of green growth. Then it all dies for summer, and becomes fuel for Wild Forest Fires. Only a few weeks, did the temps get to freezing, let alone below freezing, or like some years, months in single digits, or sub zero winter freezing fkng weather, in sunny southern cal....!
