So Durant has dropped a challenge to players who feel they should have been put on the All Star squad over him: play him 1 on 1 for his spot. Thimk Dame should take him up on it? http://www.thescore.com/nba/news/695723
At first, I thought that sounded like a pretty cool comment, but the more I think about it, the more it just comes off douche-y to me. I mean, he's a 7-footer with long arms, a decent handle, and a sweet outside stroke; of course he's going to beat anyone in a 1-on-1 game. And on top of that, no one says he's not a good enough player to be in the all-star game; the issue is that he has missed too much of the season to deserve it. But as to the question asked, no, I don't think Lillard should take him up on it. Getting worked over 1-on-1 by a guy who's 9 inches taller than him isn't going to do him any favors. It sure would be an entertaining lead-in to the game, though. And even if he lost, I'd LOVE to see Dame drive and dunk on Durant just once...
Yeah, that's my opinion as well. Now, if Westbrick wants to put his spot on the line, that's another matter.
If the game was played in a park in Oakland, Lillard would win. No way he loses in front of his hometown.
People aren't questioning Durant's selection because of his ability, they're questioning it because of how few games he's played thus far. Doing a 1v1 game doesn't change that.
NBA could make it a pay per view game! Hundreds of millions made! And don't think Durant can school dame. Dame can finish around the rim and is much quicker
How cool would it be if there was something like that to determine the last spot. Maybe not just one on one. Maybe an. All around competition that also includes that
I thought the NBA was adamant about promoting no bullying ...respect..pass it on. Durant should pick on someone his own size. At least someone who could contest his shot. Picking on a small guy like Dame is just in poor taste
If Dame did it he should use Isiah Thomas' old trick from the Bad Boys days...step on his toes when you guard him. IT used to do that to Jordan all the time. Durant's toe is already sore.
One on one with no refs? I don't know if that would bode well for durant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
