http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/436..._one_more_week/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Blazers rookie Brandon Roy will not be back in the lineup until after Portland's road trip. He hopes to play against the Clippers on Dec. 15. Roy's problems with his heel became apparent when he was held out of a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 8. An MRI revealed an impingement in his left heel bone but no major damage. As a precaution, he wore a protective boot for a couple of weeks until an MRI and a CT scan late last week showed improvement. The boot came off and Roy has been doing light workouts at the team's Tualatin practice facility. "We're still trying to take this as slow as possible because right now we don't want to do surgery. We want it to get enough rest time," Roy said.</div> I'm no doctor, but from the start I thought maybe he should have had the minor surgery right away to get this whole thing out of his hair. I mean if he comes back, and a month later this causes problems again, it will be ANOTHER setback. I hope that doesn't happen, because he is my favorite rookie and probably the best rookie out there (he is for sure, IMO), plus he means so much to the Blazers. I hope he can come back on a high note, without any future problems, but I'm still a bit worried that there could be problems in the near future.
