You can't just invent trades or make players appear out of thin air. Too many teams still in it.

In a way it isn't terrble news. The top 9 now has to have Miller in it, and outside of a terrible play by Hayes that 3rd line was our best line tonight. And Hayes made a great play to setup Hags' goal.

On the flip side it also means Glass will play every game, but I figured that would happen anyway with AV, so no loss there.

They need a top 9 forward and have all season, I am sure within 3 weeks we'll add one...I hope it happens sooner than DL day though...we need the O badly.

The question is who do you trade?

A 2nd rounder for sure. McIlrath is available. Lindberg is available. I don't worry about that, we have plenty to deal for a rental top 9. And I fully expect Sather adds that guy.

The thing about trades, when one team NEEDS something, EVERYONE knows it and you have to overpay to get it. Plus...we do not have a lot to bargin with when it comes to satisfy our needs. We need a top 9 player, so let me trade someone in our system who isnt good enough for even a peek by our own organization to see if the answer is within.

Think about this....one of the biggest weakness is faceoffs...dont we have a faceoff specialist in hartford in Lindberg? Yet for some reason he hasn't been called up to replace Hayes who fucking sucks at the dot. Why is that?

We have dylan mci who has the "potential" to be a hard noae dman one to clear the crease and drop the gloves...surely one of the other teams would give soemthing up for that, but wait....that is exactly another need of this team.

We are going to get a salary dump..oh wait we are right ip against the cap and cant take on that contract, well better throw in glass cause everyone wants him, you kniw for his room presence, like he is messier in the room....

We are between a rock and a hard spot with this roster and all the other teams know it.

If they give they give up both 2nds and a Tambellini type(or even throw in McIldope) they might be able to swing a good 3rd liner. For Vermette I might offer next years 1st(which will be 25th or up)and one of the 2nd's and maybe Tambellini. Then maybe deal J.Moore and a 3rd for Petry.

Fast is a 4th line guy. With him being out it means Miller has to play every game on the 3rd line. That is a plus for us I think. Now I MUCH rather have Fast healthy on the 4th line and Miller still on the 3rd line, but AV is being black-mailed by Glass I guess, so that cannot happen. We'll see how it plays out.
