what does it matter when they announced it? Hank was supposed to play in the Boston game also. I am not saying Cam is a great goalie. Since that crazy 12 game winning streak, they've been playing average and inconsistent even with hank in net.
Also, can we stop being so damn fancy with the puck and just shoot. I'm tired of the constant pass first approach.
MSL has way too may scoring slumps for my liking. Has he always been like this in his career? Boyle sucked in this game. He will retire after next season. Does not have much left in the tank.
Yeah, but the 5/3 was a result of Staal and Boyle taking penalties. Im not trying to pile on the guys, but i see the whole team as not being strong enough defensively.
It totally matters Step and that cannot be debated IMO. Again why do you think Cam has always looked so good...okay I will tell you. Because he starts 1 game out of every 8 or 10 games overall. In those games the D and team steps up their play because frankly they know they need to with Cam in net. You can do that once in 8 games. Now that it is official Cam is the guy for the next 15 games or more that cannot happen every night. So yeah it makes a huge difference IMO. I count the games with Cam officially as the starter starting with the Preds game. That was when it was clear he was the guy. Either way I don't think he is up to the challenge whether you include the Bruins game or not. Hope I am very wrong, we'll see.
And I disagree with you and the stats do as well sc. Again we all know Cam let in at least 2 soft goals in these two games, so we cannot get on him for that and say oh the D is bad also. Doesn't add up. As usual the D is fine and the O needs help. I will focus on the real issue, you can focus on the D....
The real issue is they need a roster move, so we'll see. It would be nice if they could do it this week while HL is out.
Yeah, the sooner the better because we'll need to score more now that is clear. Worst case it happens within 21 days as the DL is 3 weeks from tomorrow.
You would like to see the people they have to also step up. Kreider should be playing like Nash. Go to the net and shoot when you have the opportunity.
Kreider has played well recently. The target is on Zucc mainly, and Brass also because he really misses a lot of chances. Frustrates me. Mainly Zucc though. The plus with Fast being out is our best 9 will be the top 9. The 3rd line of Hags/Hayes/Miller is our best 3rd line, so let's see how they play coming up here. And if we can add a top 9 forward that will be a plus so we can get some scoring outside of the top 6.
In theory no, but with Cam in goal at Toronto isn't easy, that team can score. At Zona isn't easy either with Cam. Dallas tonight should have been a win at home but wasn't. Bad goal, but mainly bad O again. Toronto will score at least 2 and maybe 3 goals, so can we score 3 or 4? Don't know.
I agree on Zona, they better win that game. At Toronto is no lock. They will socre some goals. It is a plus we have Zona twice in 10 games coming up, no doubt.
Passive passing and shooting seems to get into this teams blood every so often. It's like that old shoot the puck Barry line.
At Toronto, Zona twice, at Colorado, CBJ, Calgary, at Buffalo. That is 7 of our next 9. Only Vancouver, Calgary, and at the Isles are playoff teams right now. So in theory not crazy hard. At the Isles the only really tough game, but the Leafs and Avs are much better at home, so those games won't be easy.
That is always an issue Mess. Zucc has been ridiculous with his passing up good shots recently. Yesterday drop pass from 2' in front of the goal...wow.
If Hank misses 5 weeks and 2 days from the 6th, so 37 days, he will be back on the 15th of March against Florida. Mentally that is what I'm shooting for. Will give Hank enough time, exactly 15 games, to get in playing shape for the playoffs.
LOL...so after 2 games chuck completely lost his confidence in Cam. He got lit up in both games. Toronto will score 4 for sure and zona should score at least 4.
Okay, go look back Step...I never had confidence in Cam to be the guy for us. I don't give two shits about these last two games, I said it BEFORE the two games bro. You can write and think whatever you want, I said it BEFORE the games that I thought Cam was a very solid backup but I don't trust him for 15 games +/-. Again I hope I am very wrong and we are all sitting here in 3 weeks saying wow Chuck you missed on that one big time. I truly hope that is the case. But since he officially became the guy he hasn't been great at the Preds or this evening against the Stars. Hopefully he settles in and finds his game. Cannot have a soft goal every game, and so far we are 2 for 2.
