    Preseason and SL mean nothing.

    One game also means nothing.

    Consistency is what matters.

I was on the McGary train the whole time during last draft. 1 good game, in his 3rd NBA game ever doesn't mean much. But, its still a better game than many of our youngs have had and it does nothing but re-affirms my original thoughts of him.

I can bump some old threads I suppose.

It doesn't re-affirm anything. You yourself just said it doesn't mean much. Jeremy Lin had 2 good months in New York... I saw him play in the D-league and thought he was really good. Now, he sucks. It just confirms that I don't know diddly.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...city-thunder-surgery-re-evaluated-three-weeks

Steven Adams out at least 3 weeks with a broken hand. Adams isn't great, he's a starting center that averages 7 and 7, but he's a shit ton better than the rotting corpse of Kendrick Perkins. OKC's lack of depth will bite them in the add even more with Adams out.

Man, their ownership has really fucked up that roster. They are basically a two man team with one good role player and NOTHING else. They'll blame their poor season on injuries, but it's not like they've played well even when at full strength. When you have depth, at least you can tread water until you get healthy again.

It will be interesting to see if Adams only misses 3 weeks and 9 games. Sounds optimistic to me.

Just to give you an idea how bad OKC's lack of depth is, with Steven Adams out for the next month, their starting center would be, at best, the 7th best big man on our roster - well not really, he couldn't even make our roster.

If you want to throw in Wright and Claver, you could argue that Perkins and Collison would be our 9th and 10th "best" big men if they played for us. Perkins has flat out sucked for years, and Collision, who used to be the kind of solid, reliable back up big that every team needs now wishes he was Joel Freeland, not the other way around. Collision's TRB% has sunk to a near Bargnani like 11.8%, his FG% is .413 and in spite of his .234 3FG%, he now seems to think he's a stretch 4. It's a stretch he's even on an NBA roster at this point.

And to think OKC gave away Jeff Green for Perkins and then gave away James Harden because their hillbilly owners were too cheap to amnesty Perkins (or pay the luxury tax for one year to keep both Perkins and resign Harden). They destroyed a potential dynasty for Kendrick "Worthless Piece of Shit" Perkins. Kendrick Perkins in an OKC jersey is Seattle's revenge.

I am sure OKC will just make a trade. They were in talks for the "other" Lopez. Hopefully it is too little too late when it comes to making the playoffs though.

But what do they have to trade? It takes something to get something. I know, a month or so ago, BRK was looking to jetison Lopez to dump his salary, but they are playing better with him back and currently hold the 8th seed in the East. I kind of doubt they'd be willing to just give him to OKC for their crap at this point. Which means if OKC still wants Lopez, they'd need to give up something of value (Mitch McGary and/or future picks), which hurts them in the long run - not that that's stopped them form making stupid trades that mortgage their future in the past (see Jeff Green for Kendrick Perkins and James Harden for Kevin Martin - who they then let walk for nothing a year later).

Most likely leaving would be: Reggie Jackson, Lamb, Jones and/or picks (probably in that order). They will keep McGary.

And I not saying they will get someone as good as Lopez. Just someone way better than they have.

I wonder if there is any consideration on Stott's part to pull a Pop against the Lakers and sit a few guys. It could really extend the break for them.

Part knows that we can afford to lose any games at this point but it would give them some much needed rest for the stretch run

I hightly doubt Stotts would do that.

How about if our starters do themselves a favor and blow out the FakeShow early, and give themselves some rest!

The goal should be around 24-28 starter minutes and a 15+ point win.

They were probably sending out Gerald Henderson but he has looked really good the last 5 or so games.

Which would weaken their already very weak bench.

Honestly, there's probably a dozen guys in the D League they could call up that would be considerably better than what they have. Perkins is godawful horrible and Collison seems like he's fallen off a cliff - which is odd for a guy who always relied more on smarts than athleticism. I guesz when you're unathletic at 24, you can't be expected to keep up when you reach 34.

So Deandre Jordan is shooting 72.7% from the field right now. If he keeps this up, does he blow the record out of the water? I'd pick him for All Star Game ahead of Durant.

No, if he keeps it up, he'll tie the record of .727 by Wilt in 1972-73.

You seem to overlook the fact that Jordan is only shooting .396 from the FT line and barely averaging double figures in scoring. It's easy to have a high FG% when most of your shots come from within 2 feet of the basket.
