British car manufacturers Land Rover and Jaguar are issuing a recall in the U.S. for some 104,000 vehicles over potential problems with their brakes and lights. The recall is said to be the largest ever for the Jaguar Land Rover company, and applies to over 74,000 of the luxury SUV vehicles, and to almost 5,000 of the luxury sedans. The notices for brake hose ruptures and side light malfunctions were issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Friday, with the actual recalls to begin on March 13th. For Land Rover vehicles, the recall is over concern that one or both of the brake hoses on the front of the car are prone to rupture, which would lead to a loss of braking fluid. Up to 74,648 Range Rover models produced between 2006 and 2012 will be eligible to have their brake hoses replaced for free at Land Rover dealerships.
