Just throwing this out there. KG was doing an interview last night after their game, and he was told about how AI wants out of Philly. KG immediately got up and went looking for McHale. I think KG will have a lot of say into whether or not they go hard after AI. The Wolves want to keep KG and this could be the way to do it.

How is Boston winning? Do you honestly think they are going to trade him to a Atlantic Division rival? I don't see it happening at all, That would be stupid.

Wouldn't you allow your division rival to win/compete for the division title for a year or two while you rebuild, and then three to five years down the line you will be able to contend for the division title when those young players develop. Trading him to a division rival would only be stupid/dangerous if you would still be competing for the division title immediately after the trade, which obviously they won't.As a 76er fan, trading him to Boston is worth the risk depending on what we receive in return (preferably some combination of a young PG, big man, large expiring contract, and/or draft picks). But it will hurt seeing Iverson in a Celtic uniform if this goes down...

I just realized something: wouldn't it be awesome if a trade happened on like the 20th, so the Sixers/Celtics game on ESPN on the 22nd is with Iverson in green and white? That would be sick, and it would get ESPN some great ratings.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Wolves want to keep KG and this could be the way to do it.</div> As far as I'm concerned, what's preventing them from not keeping him? I mean he's basically signed with them for a couple of years, so he's not going anywhere. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>How is Boston winning? Do you honestly think they are going to trade him to a Atlantic Division rival? I don't see it happening at all, That would be stupid.</div> I think that whole we won't trade to a division rival is a bit overstated. If the Celts have the best offer, and they probably do. Billy King will pull the trigger, he won't take a worse deal to just keep Iverson out of his own division. He has a team to run and will take the best deal, even if the team is in the same division. Also, don't know how much substance is behind it, but I read on another board that the Sixers will reevaluate this situation tonight and consumating a deal was never set in stone.

AI to Memphis for Eddie Jones($15million expiring) , 07 1st and Alexander Johnson.<something like thatReasons:1)Jerry West2)We arent hearing anything about Memphis, and whenever we dont somehting big goes down. JW just works quietly3)Memphis attendance has been low and AI "fits" the Memphis style and is appealing to the youth of Memphis(heard that a while back)4)Memphis Grizzlies need points, how about the 3rd highest PPG leader? Sure...5)AI has been to Memphis and has reached out to Memphis youth on several occasions.

See... this is why Boston is a much better fit. We can give them Theo Ratliff's contract, which is $12M per year expiring after next year (with Webber), a couple young players, and a pick.

There is no way he won't be traded... Billy King and Mo Cheeks were saying that they would reevaluate the situation, but then Snider came out and said he will be gone, no questions asked.

Anyways, I still dont think AI and Pierce would fit well together.

Just posting this for the Denver hopefuls:http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/436...son_for_denver/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Early conjecture has centered on Boston, Denver and Minnesota as possible landing spots for disgruntled Sixer Allen Iverson. But according to a report in the Dallas Morning news, Denver officials at American Airlines Center for Saturday's game said they are not actively pursuing Iverson and don't expect anything to happen. "I'm not going to deny that we were interested this summer," Denver coach George Karl said. "I think he's a great player, and I'm sad that again, the world of sports doesn't have the ability to be loyal to a special player. "I think teams make trades when they're unhappy or they're searching. I think we like our team right now. I don't think we're a team thinking about making a change."</div>I guess no AI for Denver, and I think that's somewhat smart. One, because they would have to give up too much, and two because they have a nice team that is playing well. This looks like it's really coming down to Boston, Minnesota, and probably Chicago (if they even make a run at him. I've heard nothing).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BigMo763 @ Dec 9 2006, 04:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Eh, he might still end up in Minnesota. From what I'm reading Glen Taylor usually puts up smokescreens right before moves. Two days before they acquired Ricky Davis from Boston he said they weren't going to make a trade. The day before they signed Mike James, he said they weren't interested in James and were looking elsewhere... so I don't know.</div>I do hope thats the case here. :dribble:
