You might have this a year or two for now if they can get Hanzal.

    Buchnevich-Brassard-Nash
    Duclair-Stepan-Zucc
    Kreider-Hanzal-Hayes
    Hagelin-Lindberg-Fast

An all Swede line which I've been thinking about for years.

Hanzal has never surpassed 40 points. Has 8g and 16a in 37 games. He's a great for for the third line. The Yotes shouldn't be asking the world for him

I agree strud, but teams get crazy around the DL:

Elliotte Friedman says that the Rangers would like to get involved with Hanzal but not having a first round pick will make it tough. (Nichols on Hockey)

I still think we can get it done if we deal Miller and Moore. And Miller is scratched again tonight.

Yea it just doesn't seem like Miller is going to get consistent ice with AV.

Perhaps the Yotes would take Lindberg + McIlrath/Moore and a 3rd for Hanzal and Moss/Chipchura

Then they can swing a deal to get a Dman like Hejda

Coyotes GM Don Maloney is at the Rangers/Panthers game tonight. (Leonard)

Sounds like they could be getting closer on Vermette. I forgot he played with Nash and Brass in CB. It would be tough to lose Hagelin but i probably would go with it.

How do you know it is Vermette? How do you know Hags is being talked about? Could be Hanzal and Miller...who knows.

Watching Fast, there is a lot to like going forward. He's very smart defensively. He's already turning into a way above average PK guy. He has offensive upside. I think giving him up as a thrown in involved in a deal would be really dumb. To me, the teams lack of size against Tampa, Boston and the Islanders was evident. Miller is big and fast. If I had to part with players in a Hanzal deal I would part with a 2nd, Hagelin and Lindberg. I think that is enough. That was classic Hagelin last night. 8 shots. No goals. Guy just sucks at finishing.

Friendman on Sportsnet: Coyotes GM Don Maloney has let it be known that he’s looking for young, offensive forwards, but he’s also looking for a stout defenseman or two. Maloney said last week he’s getting more calls regarding Martin Hanzal over the likes of Antoine Vermette and Keith Yandle. It would take a lot to get Hanzal from them.

I just don't see a Hanzal deal happening. I think we should try to get Vermette for this year, then use Hagelin (RFA so they get his rights) plus others to get Bozak in the offseason. Duclair needs a roster spot on the left next year anyway.

2/5/15 | 1:40PM: Hanzal will be traded to the Rangers because Don Maloney and Glen Sather are “buddies and they’ll work something out.” (Edmonton Journal)

Jim Matheson calls Hanzal an “of-injured big-horse center.”(Edmonton Journal)

I don't think Maloney's job is safe. So, he's not going to do other GM's favors because he's their buddy. He'll try to rip off any GM he deals with like all GM's try to do.

Who really knows what will happen. The ony thing I am pretty confident of is we'll add someone to the top 9. Exactly which player it is no one knows.

Coyotes twitter page: G.M. Don Maloney says center Martin Hanzal will have back surgery and the likelihood of him playing again this season is "remote."

Scratch him off the list, at least as a deadline pickup...

Good thought, the kind of player that the Rangers need but looks like he misses significant parts of each season with injuries so even making a trade for the future seems risky unless it's for Tanner Glass.

I don't think the Nets are trading anybody, they are in a playoff spot
