I would not overpay for Dragic, he can be a UFA this summer as he has a player option

Well as you know I am a CJ fan, but I still don't see him as a combo guard. He is a short SG. The league has lots of those guys now.

Dragic is a younger-better version of Steve Blake. Ideally next year I would be happy with Dame, Dragic, Blake at PG and Wes, CJ, and Crabbe at SG. (Or put Crabbe at SF and keep Will) But the bottom line is 3 deep at each position works for me.

3rd string won't be happy, but you have to have depth.

Dragic has played horribly next to Bledsoe. He played his best at point guard. He wouldn't fit here and he would leave.

Play him only at PG. Dame needs minutes at SG. This team lacks ball handling skills. I am all for two PGs on the floor when Wes is resting.

But I do agree that it will be tough to keep him. Too many teams will over pay to get him this summer.

No, a wing is a SG or SF. That's it. PGs, PFs, and Cs are never "wings", even if they "play the corners".

But Dragic has been playing SG. He's tall enough to play SG as well

Just because he's played it doesn't change the fact that he's a natural PG. It's like saying Marion is a PF because he played it in PHX.
Don't get me wrong - I like Dragic a lot. He'd be an instant improvement to our bench. But he doesn't fill the need for a wing.

I truly think our need is a player that can score and do so without other players setting them up. I would argue that Dragic fills that need.

Yes I would love a SG/SF that is great at getting to the line (think Old Corey Magette), but I don't see players like that available. Adding Dragic would take a lot of pressure off of Dame to set up most the plays. It also will help get our players shots in rhythm, which I think Dragic does extremely well.

Dragic is unhappy in Phoenix having to play off the ball, he wants the ball in his hands at the point. He'd be an improvement but I doubt he'd be happy coming off the bench. Unfortunately the best fit for him right now is in Houston, really hope we don't see that happen.

I think Dragic is unhappy being on a team that's going nowhere. Things change when you play on a winning team. Look at brewer, Gasol, josh smith and various other players that went to a winning organization..

I think Afflalo would be a great addition to the team. But the fact that he may be a half year rental is a concern.

Yes he has and he has been playing like shit this year. I know because I have him on my fantasy team. The guy isn't a shooting guard. He isn't built that way. He needs the ball in his hands.

I think the Blazers should focus on getting Arron Afflalo or Wilson Chandler or Keven Martin.

I think with Dragic you would be taking time away from Blake. I don't see them going that direction. I do see them going any direction. The players have let Neil off the hook so I am sure, he will stand pat.
