I've always said that true artists are ones that have truly experienced adversity. You can tell everything Dame spit was exactly what he went through. It was all believable, which is what draws people in.
It just sounds like a poetry slam session without the right beat. His 4-bar Friday's sound that way too. Once he collaborates with the right producer he could be onto something.
