If Iverson is pulling for a trade to Minnesota, that would really explain why they haven't made a deal yet since they said they would make a deal by tonight. If they are going to send him to Minnesota they would have to take back Mike James. James cannot be traded until December 15 since he signed as a free agent this past summer... so if this is indeed the way Billy King is playing it (which I doubt, because he isn't that smart), it is a smart move. Not only will he wait it out a little longer, but he'll make Boston and Minnesota go at it in a bidding-war... even if he is using the T'Wolves as a smokescreen to get Ainge to throw in Green or Jefferson.
There could still be a deal tonight, I mean it's unlikely but I remember when the sixers got webber that deal diden't happen until like 11 30, so you never know it could be a last minute deal.
I saw sources and other boards saying the deal is will possibly be today but nothnig yet. Minny can't trade James yet untill the 15th so Wolves gave a lower chance
Would the sixers even want james though? Woulden't they want foye or someone to that extent, I know mccants is injured but woulden't they take someone like him not someone who just signed a new deal.
James would be included for salary purposes, I believe. Minnesota's most valuable asset, aside for Garnett, is Foye, and you can rest assured any deal with Minnesota has Foye heading to Philadelphia, unless there is a third team involved.

But if a trade went down with Minnesota, it would basically have to be a 3 team trade, because they simply do not have the pieces to get a trade done with Philly straight up.
If Philly could get Foye, they would do that in a second. Foye is very much a player worth taking a risk on.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Iverson apparently nixes deal with BobcatsBy David AldridgeInquirer Staff WriterFor a while yesterday, the 76ers were close to solving their Allen Iverson problem. The Sixers, according to a source, were close to sending Iverson to the Charlotte Bobcats for a package of players yesterday afternoon. But Iverson indicated his displeasure with being sent to the Bobcats - the league's newest team, having begun play in 2004 - and the deal died, the source said.Iverson asked to be traded last week, and a source indicated that he didn't care where he was sent. But that apparently did not extend to the Bobcats, who are struggling to draw fans, and who would have difficulty bringing someone to Charlotte who didn't want to be there, and who would likely make that unhappiness known to the public.Post Your Comment With only a little more than $38 million in player salaries - forward Gerald Wallace is the team's highest-paid player, at just $5.5 million this season - Charlotte is about $15 million below the league's salary cap of $53.1 million and could make a major player acquisition easier than any team in the league. The Bobcats also have players with short contracts, which fits the Sixers' desires. Philadelphia wants to trade Iverson for players whose deals expire either this season or after the 2007-08 season, when Chris Webber's contract ends and the Sixers expect to finally get under the salary cap.Charlotte has a few players who fill that bill: veteran guard Brevin Knight, who makes $4.4 million this season on a contract that expires in 2008; forward Melvin Ely, whose $3.3 million contract ends after this season; forward Othella Harrington (2008, $2.2 million this season); and underrated center Primoz Brezec (2008, $2.75 million this season).Dealing any or all of those players would not affect the Bobcats' core group: guard Raymond Felton, guard Adam Morrison, forward Sean May or center Emeka Okafor. The 24-year-old Wallace, who has become a much-improved player in Charlotte, would be attractive to the Sixers, but he's also part of that core.At least one team believed the Bobcats were in the driver's seat earlier Monday. "It's Michael [Jordan]'s deal to turn down," said an executive of one team that is involved in the trade discussions, referring to Charlotte's new minority owner. It is uncertain whether the proposed trade can be resurrected.Meanwhile, Sixers president Billy King continues to sift through other offers. He's keeping those offers extremely close to the vest. One longtime friend of King's, with an NBA team, said King "wasn't telling me a... thing" about which way he was thinking.Sources indicate that Indiana, Boston and Minnesota continue to express interest in Iverson, with Denver and Sacramento also in the mix. But in some cases, King would likely have to take a player he wouldn't necessarily want in order to get rid of Iverson. The Pacers, for example, want to rid themselves of swingman Stephen Jackson, who has three years left on his deal. The Timberwolves are shopping guard Ricky Davis. The Kings seem to be stronger players in the bidding for Iverson than one would think at first glance. A source said Sacramento was discussing a package including guard Mike Bibby and forward Kenny Thomas for Iverson. Each has connections to Webber: Bibby and Webber led the Kings to the Western Conference finals in 2002; Thomas was part of the package the Sixers traded to Sacramento for Webber in 2005.But Thomas' contract, which King negotiated, does not expire until after the 2008-09 season.</div>http://www.prosportsdaily.com/nba/76ers/rumors.htmlWow. I just really dont like Iverson's attitude right now. This is the bigs, you dont go to whatever team you want. You got to whatever King decides for you. Thats just right now pissing me off. Players dont choose what team to go to. It pisses me off to see players like Iverson whom which we like, are acting this way. Iverson is never going to reach the playoffs with this attitude.
Rumors are going around that the warriors are trading BD and Murphy to the bulls, the bulls are trading a package involving Gordon to the sixers, and the Sixers are shipping AI to the dubsthat would explain murphy not playing today

I think with Melo having his MVP type season it would be better for them to make sire Iverson is cool not having the ball all the time, Melo is still the man and IMO would still be the man on the Nuggs.
I heard on ESPN last night that the Indiana Pacers are probably the front-runner in the Iverson sweepstakes, but they have to wait until after Friday before they can make any deals. Marques Daniels, who the Pacers signed in the offseason, is not eligible to be traded until December 15th (Friday). Indiana has enough contracts and players to make the move and still remain a legit contender in the (L)Eastern Conference.I think this move makes the most sense... All other scenarios I've heard put Iverson back in the same situation - on a crappy team going nowhere.

Jermaine and Allen are two stars that have never won it all. Also I think they have enough confidence in each other to pass the ball to each other
"One of the deals King was strongly considering is with Golden State, for point guard Baron Davis, center Andris Biedrins and a third unidentified player. In addition to Iverson, the Warriors would get backup center Steven Hunter. While a source close to one of the players involved called the deal "done," the Sixers remain quiet about where they will be sending Iverson." NY Daily News Please don't let this happen.this would mess up the warriors for now and the future
the pestilence, don't worry. Biedrins and Ellis are not going anywhere, which is why Golden State is easing their way out of the Iverson sweepstakes. And guys, don't even pay attention to Ric Bucher lol.
