Just a little something to think over: if you guys think this thread is bad and has gone on too long, be grateful. A thread over at RealGM in the Sixers section has 302 pages (3630 replies as of right now, with new ones EVERY single time you reload the page). All in 3 days.Someone over there has inside info though, and he is legit. Everything he has said thus far has been 100% accurate.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticBalla32 @ Dec 13 2006, 01:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I disagree. Iverson is a little upgrade over Baron Davis at this point. Then you factor in that Golden State would have to give up a young player. That would not produce any more wins than they have right now. Also: Apparently Danny Ainge has backed out of the Iverson running, and his last offer was Delonte West, Theo Ratliff, Tony Allen, and a pick. That's CRAP. F*ck you Danny, you screwed this up. :ranting: IDIOT! He low-balled til the last minute, and he didn't even add Gomes? Ainge continued to try and get Allen Iverson without offering Green, Jefferson, OR GOMES? He's an idiot, IMO. F*ck you.</div><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><span style="font-family:Arial">Iverson a LITTLE upgrade from Baron? First of all Baron is there go to guy and averages what, 19, 20 a game? Second, Baron is averaging more assists because he has other legit scorers around him and Iverson has Iggy to throw lobs to, and Korver to hit the occasional three. Third, no one in the history of basketball averages more minutes with the ball in his hands that Iverson, so turnovers can't even begin to be looked at. Fourth, if Iverson was on the Warriors they would be a top 5 team in the west. Right now there in the basement. You remember who Iverson had when he wen't to the finals AND was the ONLY team to prevent the Lakers from sweeping everyone in the playoffs? Iverson would do wonders for the Warriors.</span></span>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Another update: Allen Iverson doesn't want to play in the state of California, which is dying down the Golden State scenerio (also considering Baron said he would ask for a trade out of Philly if he's traded there).</div>Seriously, didn't Iverson expect this? Someone over at RealGM is "reporting" a 3 team trade that involves Philadelphia, Boston, and Indiana. Someone else on RealGM said 3 Pacers players are "out with food poisoning tonight." Do I buy it? No. His source is "someone that knows something." Just better that way.</div>^^^ All those posts made by the same guy (the guy who supposedly has information). Also note that another person on RealGM stated that 3 Pacers players are out with food poisoning for tonights game.Again, I DO NOT BUY THIS. But I'm just passing this along.
Why can't people just wait a few days and wait to see where he goes...instead of all these dumb rumors....I don't read any of it, I will just wait until it's officially announced.
Another thing I just thought of, by the way, if this supposed 3 way rumor has any truth to it, I will know in a half hour. The Celtics and Sixers play each other at 7:00 pm ET (it's 6:30 right now).
I think it'd be cool to see Iverson on the Warriors... But someone mentioned he doesn't wanna play in CA... (why the hell not?)So as long as he doesn't go to Denver or Indiana, I'm good.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Allen Iverson's departure from Philadelphia might be coming very soon, as Sixers GM Billy King told another Eastern Conference executive last night that he has "two deals on the table, ready to go." One of the deals King was strongly considering is with Golden State, for point guard Baron Davis, center Andris Biedrins and a third unidentified player. In addition to Iverson, the Warriors would get backup center Steven Hunter. While a source close to one of the players involved called the deal "done," the Sixers remain quiet about where they will be sending Iverson. "It makes sense for the Sixers to make the deal with Golden State," an Eastern Conference executive said last night.</div> (Fox Sports Net)Golden State would be losing a lot in this trade - totally not worth it considering Andris has been a pleasent surprise for the Warriors.

I wouldn't even do the trade. I think that trading Baron for AI is not needed, and after seeing the Warriors cream the Queens, there is no need to mess up chemistry.

How many teams have there been where people have said, "Wait a few years and they could be contendors." Lets see here. The Bulls of 4 years ago, the Clippers with QRich and DMiles, the Knicks not too long ago; hell...every year they say the Knicks will improve. The Heat with Odom, Grant, Wade, etc. You know just as well as I do that injuries happen, trades happen, and players don't turn out to be what everyone imagines. Iverson isn't thinking to himself right now, "Hmmmm, they might be good in a few years. I'm only 31 and don't mind taking the chance of playing for a losing team the rest of my career." Hell no. He's thinking he wan'ts to play for a team with talent, good management, and a place to live. Your forgetting that part. Winning DOWN THE ROAD is not whats on his mind. Especially when he's been the best player on mediocre teams for the past 10 years.Management drove him out of Philly. King has been one of the worst GM's in the league since he was named GM. If King was gone and changes were guranteed thisyear, I would bet my life that Iverson would not be on the block right now. You and me would be doing the same thing right now. Enough's enough, and Iverson obviously has had enough.</span></span>
