After reading comments by Blue Jacket players after being
whipped by Isles 6-3..........the consensus was that the Islanders
are very skilled and very nasty. They knew what they were
getting with Tavares, Strome, Bailey & Co., but they had no clue
    how tough their team is...................

Well, this Ranger fan has an idea how tough they are.

Rangers will have to be resilient to get two points tonight.

I am not worried about this..

Lets review...game 1 was the 4th game of the year and there was no Stepan and the flood gates opened in the third period... Rangers had 43 shots on goal, ryan Malone and Michael Kosta played enough said.

    Game 2

Rangers on a 5 game win streak...and coming back from California sweep...both teams came back from a road trip, Islanders played in Columbus after New jersey... Rangers outshot and were obviously flat from a great previous road trip...that shit happens

    Game 3

Both teams coming off the All Star weekend...Rangers played like shit...

Does the Icelanders have a more depth team then in years past..yes..very good team..
Are they leaps and bounds better than the Rangers...don't think so

tonight I expect a hard fought game.....I think Cam will be tested a lot and will get plenty of help from the team.
The team KNOWS its time to show the Icelanders they will not be pushed around by suburbia ...

    Rangers 4
Icelanders 3 (last minute pull the goalie to get within 1)

Rangers play like a regular season game. Islanders as always will play like it's game 7 of the finals. Then the Islanders will get rolled in 5 in the first round of the playoffs.

I am looking forward to seeing how Cam plays. Assuming the team in front of him doesn't hang him out to dry, I want to see how he performs. If he plays well tonight it will go a long way towards answering some of the concerns I have had about him as a starter.

Looking forward to this game. Good measuring stick for us I think.

can't believe that there are only 28 games left to this regular season.

I think our PP will be important tonight. The Isles are the worst PK team in the league, yet we have 1 PP goal against them so far. If we want to win tonight we'll need at least 1 PPG IMO.

Comes across a little excusey Al. Nothing you say is crazy, but too many excuses for my liking. Just win the games. Let's see what we do tonight. I don't have a strong feel either way.

The biggest points in these games with the NYI are 2nd periods when our smaller guys and D end up succumbing to Isles pressure and rebounds around the net. 1st periods are usually pretty even but into the 2nd they seem to take over.

will be critical to stand up to Matt Martin when he starts running around pounding Blueshirts, like he's done the first three games. Look for Glass to go with Martin, hopefully early. There 4th line has dominated us the first 3 games. Should also be physical with JT, can lose his cool easily.

I wouldn't put much stock into how Cam performs tonight and whether or not you are comfortable with him as a starter, Chuck. The Islanders have had their way with the Rangers all 3 games with Lundqvist in the net so looking to see how the backup fares against them isnt going to tell you anything useful.
And save the bullshit excuse that the Islanders play it like game 7....that's how the Islanders play game in, game out. If the Rangers can't get up for a matchup against the Islanders it's on them. These games do matter, Rangers need these points more than the Islanders right now so let's hope the Rangers play with a greater intensity than they did the last time they played these fucks.

Just clearly a better all-around team. Not sure how you can say otherwise.

They have been completely dominated by this team all season. It's just ridiculous at this point. Plus, you cannot give up a goal that quickly.
