    I'd like to know if he's still insisting that the only time he used PEDs was during his time with the Rangers.

    The bottom line is that if he plays and hits homers the fans will cheer. Just the way it goes.

    ...I agree, that's how fickle some fans are...if he's somehow is able to play there will be those who will cheer him on...but I won't be one of them.

    Ron this team might be so shitty it won't matter. This roster is a house of cards in my opinion. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised but I just don't see it. Especially in the turn of just one season.

    He clearly has a PR firm behind everything so how can you feel any sincerity?

    ...same here...I expect Ellsbury and McCann to have better years...but beyond that I just don't have much hope....and as afar as the pitching staff, every time Tanaka makes a start I'll be wondering if his elbow will blow out...same with the health issues of CC, Pineda, and Nova.

    ...we've all been spoiled recently and it's odd to think that 95-100 wins every year was the norm and the PS was a given not too long ago...now I'm just hoping I won't be embarrassed by watching my team finish last in the division.

    I'll be right with you on Tanaka. Hopefully the doctors advised correctly on this one.

    Vic I said the same thing a while back. The 1st time he hits a game winning HR or gets a game winning hits the fans will be back to cheering. I just think its disgusting that this guy is going to be rewarded for reaching assisted milestones.

    ...oh yeah, I still agree with their opinion of letting it heal on it's own, I mean he's still very young and should be easier to heal, plus it was only a 10% tear.

    ...Adam Wainwright and others have had a very similar tear that did indeed heal itself...so there is history and precedent on Tanaka's side.

    Still if you're Tanaka you have to be thinking, "All those years in Japan I never hurt, I come to America & What the fluck! my arm go boom".

    ...hate to be "a weird pessimist" again, but I still don't see ARod making it out of ST...the Yanx will simply have to eat his salary and hope to recoup it via the insurance policy.
    ...at this point anyway, they are obligated to pay him anyway. But if he cannot perform well enough to justify tying up a roster spot, they should just part ways with him and give that roster spot to someone more deserving.

    ...I think there's a distinct possibility that the damage was already there as a result of pitching all those innings in Japan. (212 in only 27 starts in 2013)(not counting the PS and pitching for his country afterwards)

    ...here, this spells it out in much more detail;

    A-holes words are about as sincere as words that would be spoke by Hitler at a Jewish Memorial Service. What is just as bad are all these media types like Rosenthal, Reynolds, and JP Morosi stating on MLB today that like it or not A-hole is the Face of the Yankee Franchise like it or not.

    Today Rosenthal stated that if the Yankees really didn't want A-hole that they should just release him claiming the Yankees could "eat" the 60 mil plus. Damn I may not be a sports writer like Rosenthal but business is business and 60 mil is a lot of money. Everyone knows the best case scenario would be for A-hole being unable to perform with insurance picking up the tab. At any rate what I feel he's going to bring is a God Damn media circus and I sure feel for Girardi and his team they don't deserve this.

    So it goes A Billionaire due to the foolish George Bush and further foolish Steinberger. He carried his baggage way too far into the future. Got to give him credit. He dictated terms instead of an agent.
