You would think "Oh, it's just an athlete, how can you be emotional about it?" It's what he meant to this city, how he tirelessly gave back to this city with his play, his work, his giving, his community efforts, his smile, and on and on. He meant more than a guy who could put a ball through a hoop. He was a genuine person. This sucks, man.
He was one of the few Blazer people that came down here, that always stuck with me. http://www.heraldandnews.com/sports...cle_f2bb9b0f-09f1-58ec-9daf-77f4e84510cf.html
First Duckworth... Now Mercy Mercy Jerome Kersey... Truly devastating news. Prayers to his family and Trail Blazer nation...
I just thought there would be a blurb with a "more to come" on a local news website, oregon live, nba.com or blazers.com. Not saying it's fake, but surprised by the slowness.
Ok, Blazersedge beat everone to the punch http://www.blazersedge.com/2015/2/18/8066753/jerome-kersey-dead-portland-trail-blazers-legend
I literally just saw him at blitz Ladd doing a show with Jaynes and terry porter. This sucks so much. Jerome was a great guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
