Oh my god, I've been out of it and I just learned about Mercy passing. I'm so sad. He was the first Blazer I ever met, back when I as about 14 years old. He and Duck both, they might be my sentimentally favorite Blazers ever. I loved those guys, both so nice and just great people. Wow I'm going to miss those two.
RIP Jerome. I always admired JK's desire and his human quality. I can't believe he passed on at such a young age. Really Sad
Man, I can't even look at the picture and read the quote without veklempting. I never would've made it through watching the presser.
If anyone reading this has any pull, this needs to be the anthem at our next home game. Thanks for posting that BeerBoy.
Now we find out it was a blood clot in the lung. I understand he was under rehab for a knee surgery. Connect the dots........uh.
> Wow When you hear him and sense his sense of calm you realize he had more class than you had imagined. I'm still sad about his passing. That 90 team was one of my favorites.

I wanted to reach out and give the dude a hug.... The others did a reasonable job of holding it together.
Like many of you, I've been thinking a lot about Jerome the last couple of days. Last night, I was trying to think of any player in the history of the NBA who gave more effort and energy, every single game, and I couldn't think of one. Many NBA players have an entitled attitude, and are given star status for reasons that escape many fans. I want guys like Jerome, Wesley Matthews, Terry Porter, and any other hard-working players that appreciate their opportunity on my team. To me, Jerome Kersey was everything great about the NBA.
I was a depressed mess all day after watching the presser. People were saying "Did you cry?" And I'd respond "Hell yeah I did."
+1000000000000000000. I know they have them set out way ahead of time, but this does need to be it. If I had money, I would be at that game Sunday. Hopefully we'll be able to listen in on radio and see it on TV.
Might I suggest, anyone with a twitter account please tweet the Jerome Anthem to the Trailblazers asking of this to be the anthem before the Memphis game. They get enough tweets, someone important will see it.
That is a capital idea. What an amazing way to honor Mercy. There would not be a dry eye in the house.
