The Denver Nuggets plan to waive forward Victor Claver, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Afflalo will likely get a similar contract like Wes.

When will the press conference be for Afflalo/Gee? Surely it must be today?

Claver should go to SAS. He would do well there

One thing I'll say about Arron, he has been with the team a total of three days and he knows exactly what buttons to push with the fans and the town. What to say, what to do etc. It's as if he was coached on and about this environment before being traded.

Or he is just that intelligent. Which is good. Team can use that.

Why wouldn't Afflalo get a similar contract like Wesley's next one?

Wes is a better shooter and a much better defender. Afflalos mid range game is probably the only thing hes better than Wes at. Afflalos defense isn't that great.

He might not get as much as Wes, but the lack of shooting guards will guarantee that he gets a really nice offer, I suspect.

Afflalo is way better than Wes at handling the ball and finishing at the rim. Better passer too. It's just not necessary to compare them though because they are both very good pieces for the team.

And god for forbid if we lose Wes, Afflalo will be a decent replacement for him. And may not lose a beat.

I like their chances in keeping at least one of them.

To me, you pay your starting five and 6th man competitive salaries and balance the rest of the bench with affordable contracts. Afflalo could become a great 6 man
