<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I'm going to say Yao. It's not that he's a wuss or anything. He just throws up a lot of stuff that he shouldn't. I don't know, he just comes across as soft sometimes.</div>Yao is not soft when he wants to be. When he's playing for China...it's mind-blowing. He is a mere shell with the Rockets.
There are a lot of soft players in this league, and I don't like it, especially the bigs. People will get offended and try to go against people saying Euro players are all soft, but you know what? 9/10 of them are! That is a reason I'm not a Bargnani fan at all. I think he will always score and shoot the ball well, but he will never be an inside factor. He's too "soft."Soft players are afraid to get in the paint and get their nose dirty, afraid to fight for a rebound with another 7 footer, afraid to take a charge, they don't play with "fire," etc. I don't like that.Raef LaFrentzAndrea BargnaniPeja StojakovicMark BlountEddy CurryChris WebberMike Dunleavy Jr.Vladimir RadmanovicBrad Miller (he has so many other skills though)Guys like that, they are soft. There are plenty more, but I don't feel like naming them all.
Nenand KristicRaef LaFrentzSteven Jackson - He pulls up for 3s when the lane is wide open, and he's a !@#% 6'8" guard. Ugh!Quentin Richardson - Sometimes he seems too content to shoot 3sEddy CurryRashard Lewis - Maybe not. He's 6'10" and shoots alot of 3s though.
You're all overlooking the softest player in NBA history.Raef LaFrentzWhile he was a Celtic:He never banged on the offensive boardsHe never got the tough reboundsHe posted up maybe once or twice in his entire tenureHe just chills by the 3 point lineHe is a pussy

Sure he might take alot of three's, but he also crashes the boards and goes inside alot for rebounds. That is something big to have out of your starter at the 3. I think him and David Lee are the only two on the entire Knicks team that have gotten inside and shown alot of toughness.

Because I think he prefers to shoot 3s as his #1 weapon.

He will take the ball and attack the rim also, he has no fear in that, he just thinks he's a better three point shooter for some reason.
Jalen Rose is probably the softest player in NBA history. A majority of the time, all he does is take outside jumpshots. When he thinks he gets fouled, he cries like a baby. On defense... He plays none, and always complains. Did I mention he shys away from conctact and simply tries slashing at the ball everytime?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Amare320 @ Dec 8 2006, 09:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^ Manu is pretty damn soft IMO</div>I disagree. Ginboli drives to the basket majority of the time he has the ball. He draws contact for the foul.

I had to sit through 2 seasons of this guy running up the court like a little girl and going soft to the hoop, or jacking up a jump shot. He cries whenever contact is made, and he is a skinny little bi*ch. He is probably the worst defensive player in the NBA if you really watch him..
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>^ Manu is pretty damn soft IMO</div>Also, I think you're mistaking "soft" and "flopping". Although it's painfully obvious that he's acting sometimes, he is quite hard-nosed.

Someone said vlad rad is soft? I don't think you've been watching him this season. He's attacking the rim and driving alot since his hand is screwed up. He also hustles, grabbing rebounds, blocking etc. Reputations must stay with you because he hasn't been soft this yearAny 7 footer who shoots fadeaways constantly is soft.

He grabbed some tough boards in the playoffs last year also, a few towards the end of the game, so I agree he is starting to be alot less soft than he used to be.
Tim Duncan is soft, Rasheed Wallace is not soft. Those are two good examples that I hear all the time lol
