I don't think we can hate on Wes and CJ just yet.
Bring in someone that was a star on a hopeless team doesn't mean much. I just hope it does rock the apple cart too much.
Sure T-Rob, Barton and Claver weren't stars but they knew their roles. Scoring and defence wasn't really a problem for our team. It always seemed to be shot selection and turnovers.

Very tough loss. There was a lot to like but also potential concerns. The Utah loss was far worse. When Memphis gets their D set its so difficult to score on them. This year they have better offensive options. I think the Blazers played with maximum effort which is all you can ask. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Kaman couldn't guard ZBo. We only had 3 big men tonight and Meyers was in foul trouble. Memphis might be the worst team in the league to be forced to play small ball against.

I think I'd rather play any opponent besides Memphis in the playoffs. They're so physical even if you win the series you'll be beat up for the next round. If ZBo isn't suspended in game7 last year hell they might've won it all. Marc Gasol is a beast. I laughed when Kaman tried to score on him 1vs1.

Memphis starters are damn good. Our bench got to play against their bench and it was great to see us have success there. But put our bench against the Memphis starters and they'd be annihilated.

Our starters might've had some offensive problems but they were awesome defensively for much of the night.

I think I might prefer to play the warriors or basically any team in the west but Memphis.

But the Grizzlies should've won their series in 6 like we did.

We need to avoid Memphis in the playoffs. I think we can match up with everyone else in the west. Just Memphis would destroy us.

    My take:

    - Dame -- still struggling w/his shot. Getting better, but I think his back is broke from carrying Batum for so long.
    - Batum -- still not worth 12 mil, and still inconsistent, and still disinterested. HE looks tired every day.
    - Wes -- Great when hes hitting his shots, terrible when he isn't. Thank god we have Afflalo.
    - Kaman -- Is it just me, but I cringe every time he gets the ball. Doesn't pass well, doesn't dribble well and his shots are scary. What DOES he do well?
    - Robin -- giving him a pass, he needs more games from being out for so long.

Blake was badass and came to play as usual. CJ is CJ.... and I wish Meyers could have stayed in longer to get more boards.

CJ needs to play when Wes and Dame are cold. He has earned the minutes.

I agree agree on all counts, though not sure what the hell is wrong with Damian. He's gone from superstar to dud. I'm sure he'll snap out of this eventually though. Kaman is gone next year.

I wish they would run a more ISO clear outs with Dame. He can take anyone that plays him one on one. Teams are learning to trap the pick and pop. There needs to be times when he just punishes teams from the top of the key. Clear out and let him draw the foul

Houston was a far easier opponent than a fully healthy OKC last year.

What pisses me off more is we really tired them out and they're going into a rested LA to play the Clips tonight

just downloaded n watched the game

myers was great in the beginning.
dame was trying a bit too hard.
blake was lethal and hit some huge shots - pity we couldnt hold the lead.
    wes was ok.
    afflalo looks promising
kaman's dribbling and overall ballskills are are fuckin nightmare
nic was ok as well, some big shots, but also some stupid passes. seemed more aggressive at times, then sheepish at others. still a quandry. im hoping afflalo steps up here.

Not hating on Wes. Love the dude...

With that said, can't let emotional feelings stand in the way of making smart bus decisions.

They are really good and disciplined on the defensive end. And offensively, they always seem to have an answer. Joeger is a great coach...

They are my favorite to win the west. They are tough.
