    I cannot figure out how some people claim that it is lees expensive to give a convicted murderer life than execute them. I also cannot understand how those who were convicted "suffered" when they got the lethal dose. I not only support Capital Punishment but would like to see the victims have a say in how the clown who carried out the offense is "deleted" from the human race.

    snip from article:

    Good to see the insanity defense took no time to discredit.WTF are "whatever episodes"? Hell, I can't buy this bit, 'whatever fucking episodes'. I really doubt PTSD was even a factor, these days. Initially, that was the only news I heard, now, the guy if flat out fkd up; and I doubt he even had PTSD.

    "But prosecutors said Tuesday that whatever episodes Routh suffers are self-induced through alcohol and marijuana abuse."

    "In front of a packed courtroom, Erath County assistant District Attorney Jane Starnes and three defense attorneys made their case."

    "That is not insanity. That is just cold, calculated capital murder," Starnes said. "(Routh) is guilty of capital murder and he was not by any means insane."

    Convert the fuckers to Islam, strap a GPS on them and send them to join Isis. Then use the GPS signal as a homing beacon for a missile of Rob's choice. Best bang for the buck would be a nice guided munition like JDAM.

    Either that or turn the border into a bloodsport zone.....every killer that gets a 1000 illegal alien scalps gets a pardon.

    ...I agree.

    ...and I've brought this up before...My feeling is that in a murder case such as this, I think the family should be allowed to determine his fate and the method. Lock the murderer up in a room for say maybe 1/2 hour and let them do whatever they want to him. Baseball bats, blow torches, etc., are all allowed...That's real "closure."
    ...but allowing a POS like that to leisurely live out his days getting room a board, 3 squares a day, cable TV, internet, etc. is "justice"?

    I read an article on those Super Prisons where the allegedly most dangerous inmates are incarcerated. The entire living space is small , concrete construction, no interaction is permitted. No "luxuries" but 1hour a day outside in an area that permits extremely limited views of the facility. Faced with a life sentence like that one would probably prefer Death. On the other hand those who are placed in that situation are probably too far gone for a song to realize how bleak their existence is. And while on that subject they ought to fry Arias as well.

    What about this Bowe Bergdhal deserter with a few men who were KIA looking for him? I also agree with the death penalty with irrefutable evidence....DNA ect.
    Case In point, Charles Manson - he's still "in the news" using and taking up resources and it seems as if every time I see him in some kind of prison interview he quite often is in a fiesty mood with the occasional smile on his face as his victims have already decomposed in their graves not to mention the anguish and anger felt by the relatives and friends. Disgraceful.

    Just recently read that a Marine Corporal who "deserted" twice received only a two year sentence. His first AWOL occurred in Iraq, and when brought back to the US and given permission to visit his family took off again. In the case of Bergdhal that will be covered under AR630-10. While a member of the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corp one of our duties was to inventory, care for, and ship the property of AWOL soldiers once they were dropped from the rolls. I saw some really strange outcomes of AWOL and Desertion Cases. As a Retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer I hope they burn his ass good but if the current occupant of the White House gets involved Bergdahl may get off light.

    ...many people forget the great cast in that movie and how many of them went on to greater things...aside from Newman and Kennedy, Wayne Rogers went on to playe Trapper John on MASH...Ralph Waite played John Walton on The Waltons...Joe Don Baker played the lead in Walking Tall...Dennis Hopper ...Anthony Zerbe...Strother Martin played in a bunch of movies.

    ...and Joey Harmon?...well, she married me...and still washes my car among other things, every day.;
