CelticBalla's Extra Thoughts/Notes
Yay... 5-13 and now we have to play New Jersey on the road. I just hope a young guy steps up.

Danny: call Billy King at halftime when you have a minute.

CelticBalla's Prediction
I don't see us winning this. The big 3 are just too good, and we have no inside presence to contain Krstic. Their bench just got stronger with House and Boone returning as well. I say we lose again.

We WILL lose. Gerald MIGHT smash on somebody. If we even do get AI, it WON'T be tonight. Of course I would love to hear Mike Gorman say "And _______ and _______ left at halftime due to a reported trade. We'll get you updated as soon as possible." Will that happen? No.

I say NJ is so tired from their 2OT outing against Phx, that they run outta steam in the 2nd half, and the Celtics end up getting the upset.

29 and 14. :happy0144:

What a game! We started off HORRIBLE (22-2 at one point). We ended up going on a run, making it a close game by halftime. 3rd quarter we were pretty solid. 4th, not bad. PIERCE HITS THE GAME WINNER AT THE BUZZER! CELTICS WIN 92-90! YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!!! Al Jefferson was phenominal as well!

Doc's subs were pretty good except 2 things: Bassy played too much. He was not playing well at all, Rondo should have played more. Also, no Al Jefferson on the last play? WHAT?

Paul Pierce
17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists on 4-18 shooting. Also the game winning shot at the buzzer
Paul struggled with his shot all night long. Wow, terrible really. But I don't even care, he hit the one bucket that counted: the one at the buzzer!!! "Pierce for the game... GOT IT!"

Al Jefferson
29 points, 14 rebounds, 1 block on 12-19 shooting
Big Al was absolutely PHENOMINAL tonight! I mean incredible! He was throwing all kinds of moves at New Jersey. Hell, he even hit some 12-15 foot jump shots! Big Al really had it going, and he played tough and physical. He had some clutch buckets and rebounds too. Big Al for president! WOW!

Delonte West
16 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block on 4-8 shooting (3-5 from 3, 5-5 FT)
D-West was awesome off the bench tonight. He was finally hitting his shot, and knocking down big 3's. He was aggressive, played decent defense, and made some nice dump off passes. Great job from D-West tonight, we need him to play like this all the time.

Ryan Gomes
9 points, 9 rebounds on 3-10 shooting
Gomes didn't get all his shots down, but he played solid as usual. He really pounded the glass with Big Al and he made some nice hustle plays. He is the epitomy of solid, and I absolutely love him.

Gerald Green
7 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists on 3-6 shooting (1-1 3FG) in 25 minutes
Gerald played well tonight. He has earned minutes and trust from Doc, and you can see why. He shot the ball pretty decent tonight and he had a nice driving runner. But he played decent defense and made some very nice passes. He didn't look for his shot at all in the 2nd half and with good reasoning. 2 words: AL JEFFERSON.

Tony Allen
5 points, 3 rebounds, 5 fouls, and 3 turnovers on 2-5 shooting in 15 minutes
TA played solid, despite the foul trouble and turnovers. When he was out there, he made some real hustle plays, helped on the boards, and played solid defense. He didn't really force anything. Not bad, I just wish he would have stayed out of foul trouble.

Sebastian Telfair
1 rebound, 4 assists on 0-6 shooting
Bassy sucked tonight. He missed all his shots, he didn't attack the basket, he played bad defense. Is there a reason he played 28 minutes and Rondo only gets 12? That's bullsh**.

Rajon Rondo
2 points, 2 rebounds, 3 fouls on 1-1 shooting in 12 minutes
He definitely should have played more. Bassy was doing terrible and Rondo made a couple things happen (took a great charge at half court). Doc needs to put this kid on the floor.

Brian Scalabrine
7 points, 1 rebound, 4 fouls on 2-7 shooting in 21 minutes
Scal didn't do too well. He had one offensive rebound which led to a 3 point play, and I shouted "Scalquille O'Veal!!!" :HAHAHA: Other than that, nothing special.

Leon Powe
2 seconds
Yup, Powe played 2 whole seconds. Stupid...

PIERCE FOR THE WIN! AHH I was sooo happy. Great win, we deserved it. We kept fighting all night long.

6-13 (ugh, that record ruined my happy moment)

Next Game
Monday (12/11/06) @ New York at 7:30 pm ET.

Yeah, the jumpers you mentioned with Al, CB, really impressed me. I never really knew he had that in his repetoire, well, because, he never ever takes that shot. Thankfully last night it was going down, and I'd like to see more of that from him if he can continue shooting it well. Also, Mike Gorman's calls are awesome. My favorites in basketball are his.. like you said "Pierce for the game... GOT IT!" I love that call so much.

Oh god, I was watching like the final 1:30 left of the game and I seen NJ coming back. Then I just saw them come back and tie the game and I was thinking overtime. Then PP just makes 1 big shot with the time expiring. Great win by the C's!
