Why does anyone notice color first when looking at a group photo of MLB managers? How about gender? Age? Sexual orientation?

Or how about the pertinent criteria....did the mgr ever play the game at its highest level? Quite few guys that are on baseball cards. Or look at all the catchers?

Last I checked, baseballs, bats and gloves were color blind. Too bad hack journalistic aren't as well.

This race card, bullshit is rolling out of control, on all fronts....I swear its worse now, than in the 60s, and yes, I do remember segregation in Luzianna, very well.

The 1964 Civil Rights Law, initially stated: "Equal Rights"; and not the "Separate" rights agenda, we wound up with....! All of this BS, in any field of life, we see on TV fkn daily. Equal rights went south, when LBJ, screwed over RFK's, written law, to make it look like He (LBJ) could take the responsibilities of RFK's work. LBJ could of never come close, but he tried, and fkd it all up...

Last, I'm fed up sick, of hearing "African Americans", when this race or sociological group, are 200+ years removed, and double digit generations removed from any real ties genealogically, from being Africans....

If yer born in America, then your American, be proud to wear its colors.....

if you are applying for US Citizenship, you must demonstrate, the knowledge of how to read, write and speak the language. To become a US citizen, one must prove they can read, write, speak and comprehend the English language. There is no more one on one, short test, Immigrant applicants; who have to undergo proof of utilizing the language; with a Customs Immigration Clerk....

Rob I have NEVER & will NEVER use the term "African Americans" not because I don't respect the black race (because for the most part I respect everyone until you show me otherwise) but because I've yet to know anyone in my short 60+ years of life who were ever born in Africa. Or for that matter had parents that were born in Africa. Hell, to be more honest I've never even had any black friends that have even VISITED Africa. So how the fuck can you call someone like that AFRICAN Americans. My grand parents on my dads side were born in Leitrim & my grand parents on moms side were from Dublin. So should I be known as IRISH American. IMO the only group of people that have a right to be called (Blank) Americans are the Asians since most of then WERE actually born there. Or at least there parents were.

It really appears worse now than it was 40 years ago. Personally I think we've come along way in the last 40-50 years regarding race relations, but sadly, some people would rather stay in the 60s

...If people really want to help make the race issue better and perhaps eventually go away, simply stop helping to perpetuate it by bringing it up and stop talking about it all the time. The news media can/should stop referring to people as a "black man" or a "black women" because when you get right down to it, does it really matter?
...Blacks can also stop referring to themselves as "afro-american" even though they are not. I'm from Scotch-Irish-Indian descent but do I go around flapping my arms about it or whining about how badly my ancestors were treated?...No, and why?...Because that was over a 100 years ago and me and my parents were born in Jacksonville, Fla......which makes me an "American".
...Blacks can also help by ceasing to refer to themselves as "us". They claim they want "equality" yet they continue to lump them selves in a completely separate group by using the term "us". I'm assuming that makes non-blacks "them"?
...Here we are 50 years later and things have not really changed that much in the minds of many blacks because many of them think whitey is still out to get them, which is silly. But what is true is that many non-blacks are creating a lot of resentment by playing the race card all the time.

...Does racism still exist?...of course it does. But it's by no means one sided. As an example just take note of the groupings at social events, blacks choose to sit with blacks for the most part. Blacks also tend to stick together when worshipping...(most blacks go to black churches) Now, they either do this because they'd rather not deal with non-blacks or they believe non-blacks don't want to be with them..............this reasoning kind in itself is by definition, "racist".

I don't care for that hyphenated American BS either. I was born and raised in this country, served with pride in the Armed Forces and am as much "native" American as anyone. And being of Irish extraction I met blacks from Africa in Europe and they seemed to look down on the brothers rather then be "down with the brothers" Experience of 6 years duration showed me that being a hyphenated -American didn't count for shit you were regarded as American. Like my father I gave up on the Irish Catholic stuff early, did go to Ireland though found it pretty cool but did not go around with the hyphenated American BS. I don't remember the black mans name who angered blacks who bitched about this country by telling them to go to any country and they'd not be as well of as here. Back in the '90's I worked with a attractive, articulate, black lady who used to tell me she got flack from some black that she was too "white". People have the right to choose their associations in conjunction with showing those outside of their associations in a respectful manner beginning with a one on one basis.

To take it a step further, no one is born a racist, unfortunately it is taught. And its for that reason that when it comes to race parents need to STFU. If all a kid hears growing up is spic this & whitey that sprinkled with nigger here & chink there, how do you expect a child to grow up. A kid doesn't want to hear "Don't play with......because of his race" If John doesn't want to play with Jimmy let him come up with his own reason for it.

Look the bottom line here is that not everything is ALWAYS about race so stop blaming all your down falls & misgivings on the big bad white man. Here's a crazy thought, the next your mugging someone, popping pills or shooting up, the next time you pull a gun on someone, commit a robbery or disrespect those that are trying to help you, and you're looking to blame someone for your shitty life, look in the mirror for your answer. I didn't make you a thief or a drug addict anymore then I made you a doctor, lawyer or successful business man, YOU did that. STOP! fucking blaming me.

Sinbad (the comic, not the sailor) has a pretty good spiel on racism in one of his stand-ups. Talking about his kids saying things like "Dad, there isn't racism anymore. Not like you say it used to be." and instead of being proud of it, he feels conflicted. Comes to the conclusion that as long as people of his generation are still alive, racism will be carried forward because of their scars from their youth (literal and figurative).

    So there's hope, I guess?

A ground breaking show that people of ALL races loved & NEVER took to seriously. And to think that was around 40 years ago. Looks like we're going backwards.

Amen Rick...... I thought, this Nation, was getting over the A-A moniker, and back to black and white, due to what I've heard the last few years.

Thus I too refuse to ever use that fkd up word again, not here, not anywhere.
