http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/27/arts/television/leonard-nimoy-spock-of-star-trek-dies-at-83.html RIP. LLAP.
He lived long and prospered. Here's my funny Leonard Nimoy story: Back in the 80's I worked on this event called The Great Peace March. It was mostly a fiasco, but we got a lot of good press in the beginning. We had a giant kick-off event at MacArthur Park in L.A. with lots of celebs. At the end of it, I found myself in this very surreal "We Are the World" moment - on the stage with a bunch of people singing "Give Peace a Chance," and holding hands with Leonard Nimoy on one side and this guy from Mr. Mister on the other.
Spock apparently came down to Medford and was the grand marshal of some parade in the 60s in costume.
