Players who have opted out

Billups and Lewis are the ones that come to mind right now. Anybody else have any others they want to add and where will they end up?

 

Those are the two major guys right now. I think Lewis follows the money, and Billups winds up back in Detroit. I don't think Dumars is going to let Ben and Chauncey walk in consecutive years, he can't. Lewis...probably Orlando, because they have money and a need at the 3. I think Lewis is going to get majorly overpaid now that it looks like VC is staying put.

 

If I am not mistaken, Devean George has opted out as well. I am sure he'll make a good role player off the bench for somebody.

Yea I definately see Lewis ending up on Orlando and I would like for it to happen.</p>

Darko's overrated. I think the people high on him want him to succeed more than they gauge his true value. He's an above average big man, eventually a good starter to have, but I take Lewis over him any day.

I'd really be surprised if Billups ended up somewhere that wasn't Detroit.</p>

HOUSTON (Ticker) - Houston Rockets swingman Bonzi Wells
exercised the option on the final year of his contract Monday.
</p>


Wells originally signed a two-year deal before last season with
an option to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. But
he averaged 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in just 28 games this
campaign.
</p>


However, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey still thinks Wells
can be a significant contributor.
</p>


"Bonzi's return adds experience and talent to the roster," Morey
said. "Bonzi is determined to show Rockets fans and coach
(Rick) Adelman that he can help the team improve on last
season."
</p>


The veteran swingman did not get along with former Houston coach
Jeff Van Gundy and was not a member of the team's rotation
until December. At that point, Wells was plagued by back
problems, ruining his value on the open market.
</p>


Adelman was hired last month after the team fired Van Gundy, who
could not guide his team out of the first round of the playoffs
after a 52-30 record this season. The Rockets suffered a
disappointing seven-game loss to the Utah Jazz in the opening
round, dropping the decisive seventh game at home.
</p>


Wells has averaged 12.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in nine seasons
with the Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento
Kings and the Rockets.
</p>


But he had one of the best seasons of his career with the Kings
under Adelman, averaging 13.6 points, 2.8 assists and a
career-high 7.7 rebounds in 2005-06.

I don't know too much about him. He's a good hustler, helped the Spurs win a ship as their starting center.. and looks like Fabio.</p>

 

I'd like to see Dallas look at Fab, also since George opted out I doubt he'll be a Maverick next season so he'll do good being another team's role player. </p>

It look like Boykins will opt out</p>

Vince offically opted out...but from what I've heard he'll be resigning as soon as Sunday.
