<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>San Antonio Express-News - Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News reports that Allen Iverson told the Sixers he would prefer to be traded to either the Bulls or Celtics. AI would not work under hardnosed Scott Skiles, and I dont think the Bulls really want to trade their young pieces for AI right now...I could see the Celtics working though..AI and Pierce..That would be something to watch..

This is what AI wants, I heard he doesn't care. But Im finding it hard to believe that King would trade so much talent for so little. Maybe he might though, I dont get it necassarily, but I am going to wait and see.
I'm sure he'd like to go to Chicago, but it wouldn't work out. I don't see him being traded there, and I don't know who on Chicago they'd want to let go.For the Celtics though, they have quite a few pieces that they could trade without losing Pierce.I really don't care where he goes though.
<span style="font-family:Arial"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">Chicago has a really nice core of young players, I doubt they would be interested. Boston as I said in a different topic, would be a really nice fit for AI. Minnesota is the front runner from what I've heard. AI to Minnesota would have to involve Randy Foye in one way or another. Philly would be really stupid to accept anyone else from Minny. </span></span>
YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Excuse me while I party my brains out and pray every 3 seconds!!! Haha, come on Danny, do NOT screw this up. You want AI, Pierce wants AI, the majority of the fans want AI... AI wants Boston! You have GOT to make this happen, D.A.You guys honestly have no idea how happy I am, or how much more anxious I am about this whole Iverson deal. Yesterday I was like "Wow, that's crazy. I want to know where he will end up! I guess we have a chance." Today I'm like: "Oh my friggen god he likes us! Come on Danny!!!" Haha wow man, I am too anxious right now.
I don't know what you can really make of this. I mean why should the Sixers care where AI prefers to be traded? There going to do what's best in there interest, not AI's.

I don't understand why people think the Sixers need to just accept a trade and get it over with. They have teams bidding against each other(raising better offers) and of course the Sixers DON'T have to trade him despite this going public. The worst thing that happens, is they don't trade him, and what's he going to do? Not care, big deal, Sixers suck anyways.

Or will it cost that much money, I mean cant they use that to get an above average player at least ?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I know it sounds farfetched, but cant they waive him? They basically cut him and pay him while he plays for another team and have nothing to show for it.

I really believe that he would do just fine with Scott Skiles as his coach, he just needs to know right now, that if he goes there he can not where his head band.
Chicago, with Wallace, would be perfect for him. They have a very good defense (picture 2001 Sixers) with a lot of offensive talent (minus Wallace, who will get his off of put backs, etc.).You're right valo... he can't wear his headband, but I think he can live with that... hopefully.
This isn't what Chicago needs though. They need a big man not a scorer. They have Ben Gordon who is a pretty good scorer. If anybody maybe the Bulls should go after C-Web for their big man whos, althougth, then they might have to trade Gordon in there.
I can see Chicago making a trade for him. They need a superstar scorer right now and they definitely have the pieces to package in a deal for Iverson. Maybe throw in some young talent and that top 5-7 draft pick they have.Trading him to Boston would be pointless, Get him out of the Atlantic.
I really dont see AI going to the bulls what so ever. They have so much young talent that they are going to win a championship in the future almost automatically IMO. I think they know that as well....I dont think they would want to trade for a 33 year old when they have all of that young talent...I could see him going to Boston. They have alot of young talent to offer and the Celtics would probably give up alot considering they are frustrated right now. I could see AI in a Sixers uniform.

And as for C-Webb, I think that is exactly what they dont need. An overpaid, tired, player who shoots 36% from teh floor.

Allen Iverson still plays like he's 25 but he is getting older...Maybe a package of Duhon/Nocioni/1st...etc...Tyrus Thomas is an nice piece as well...I don't know where they will get the salary for it to match.

Iverson isn't going to win you a championship, it's a short sited move. If the Wolves end up dealing for him I'm going to laugh my ass off.
