Agree 100% Prod. I'd hold on Zucc. He is a big part of this team.

For the most part everyone gets along here so just don't want to see the higher ups have to get involved.

Prod I agree and honestly this is a great board. Especially during the playoffs.

FYI Boomer Esiason just tweeted that it's true, either Zucc accepts what's on the table or he's gone. And we all know that Boomer knows his stuff when it comes to the Ranger rumor mill.

So ball's in Zucc's court, take what's on the table (4.5m over 5 years which is more than fair) or he's gone. Come on Zucc, smarten up here.

Who said get the higher ups involved? That is lame. I agree with you guys, great board. I just want dump to understand people can disagree and it's okay...LOL.

Good post Prod. 4.5 is fair for Zucc...it really is for 5 or 6 years. I bet he could get them to slide an extra 100 K in there for 4.6, but that's all. All along I thought that was the fair number/range, mid 4's. Be smart Zucc...stay here if you want to.

With that said PLEASE don't pull a Nash in 2012 Sather. I hope he is working on other things right now. This cannot be okay Zucc agrees and stays, now Sather is behind the 8 ball because he was so focused on Zucc.

Need to make things happen Sather.

It's more than fair especially because they're willing to go 5-6 years.

If the Leafs are coming after Zucc, what if we can get JVR in play? Would the Leafs move him? If he's in play then all of a sudden losing Zucc and whoever else doesnt seem so bad...

Honestly, this is what happens when we have 150,000,000 over-sensitive, morons that call themselves Americans. I see these tools every day as a teacher. You have parents that listen every night to their kids in hopes that a teacher says something they can bitch to administration about. Instead of accepting that their kid is academically retarded, or is lazy, or is a rude a-hole who needs an ass kicking from their teacher, they keep defending their kids so they grow up to be soft, unemployed buffoons who will live with their parents until they are 40. I get along with students on an amazing level. However, every year I get 1 or 2 candy ass parents who can't admit they are incompetent and they are the reason their kids are f'n morons. Every one of those parents is soft. They want to live in a world where nobody ever says anything that is unpleasant. Get a clue. These kids have no clue how to fight through adversity other than a small percentage. All they do is feel sorry for themselves.

The other day my in class support teacher wanted to know if I should report a kid for telling the other kid he was mental. I said to that teacher,
"Hell know. He's an instigating, pain in the ass. Let them fight it out. If he wants to dish it out, let him learn to take the abuse."

I would love JVR more than Bozak of course. Haven't seen him mentioned at all though. Saw the Leafs were trying to push Bozak on us, not that they were interested in Zucc. Just think he'd have to be in that deal if we cannot resign him. Then I'd assume they would flip Zucc for picks/prospects.

I will say this, if we do a deal of Zucc for Bozak, we better make it clear to the Leafs they CANNOT deal Zucc in the East otherwise no way I do that deal.

I think, at the end of the day, Zucc will take 4.6 or 4.7 and run with it. He has too many friends on this team. Him, hags and brass are like brothers tight.

Im fairly certain the Leafs are pushing Bozak mainly for salary dump purposes, he doenst fit their long term model and they want the cap flexibility. I hope its all posturing for Sather to smuggle Vermette out of Zona for a lesser cost.

I think this is stupid. Sather is going to end up ruining this team. Zuke is a good team guy. Has experience with this team made it to the finals with them last year. Plus he's friends with a lot of Rangers. I just don't see how this is going to improve the team no matter who they get

I know it's a pipe dream but JVR (a Jersey guy) with a cap hit of 4.25 for three more years would be so, so sweet.

I'd still rather see somebody rugged added to the roster.

Once again instead of improving the team for this season Sather is taking his stupid hardball approach and worrying about next season. Rangers have the best record in the NHL the last 41 games...but that means nothing to that old fuck in the press box

So Sather who built them to be in this spot is now ruining the team? I don't see the logic. This is a salary cap sport so no you can't overpay somebody by a million a year because you think he's a swell guy.

If the leafs offer JVR, either of these guys Polak/Gardiner/Panek/Komarov and late pick to us for Zucc, Mcilarth, Fast and late pick. Would you do it?

Screw a late pick I'd give them one of our seconds if they did that, but they can probably get more for JVR than that.
